WangjingHospitaloftheChineseAcademyofTraditionalChineseMedicinewasestablishedinJanuary1997.AlthoughitisayounghospitaloftraditionalChinesemedicine,ithasasolidbackgroundofgrowth.
Attheendofthe1970s,inordertopromotetheclinicalexperienceofintegratedtraditionalChineseandWesternmedicineinthetreatmentoforthopedicdiseases,underthecareofPremierZhouEnlaiandtheapprovalofLiXiannianandotherdeputypremiers,theInstituteofOrthopedicsandInjuryoftheAcademyofChineseMedicinewasestablished.
Inthe1990s,ithasdevelopedintothe"NationalMedicalCenterforOrthopedicInjuries"withareputationathomeandabroad.Inthe1980s,GeneralSecretaryHuYaobangapprovedtheestablishmentoftheBeijingAcademyofAcupunctureandMoxibustionBoneInjury,andinthe1990s,theaffiliatedhospitaloftheBeijingAcademyofAcupunctureandMoxibustionBoneInjurywasestablished,layingasolidfoundationforcultivatingprofessionalsinthefieldofboneinjuriesandacupunctureinChinesemedicine.
InJanuary1997,theInstituteofOrthopaedicsandInjuryoftheChineseAcademyofTraditionalMedicinemergedwiththeAffiliatedHospitaloftheBeijingInstituteofAcupunctureandMoxibustionandtheDepartmentofBoneInjuryoftheBeijingInstituteofAcupunctureandMoxibustionandBoneInjurytoestablishtheWangjingHospitaloftheChineseAcademyofTraditionalChineseMedicine.
In2006,thehospitalWangjingHospitaloftheChineseAcademyofTraditionalChineseMedicine(InstituteofOrthopaedicsandInjuryoftheChineseAcademyofTraditionalChineseMedicine)isaunitdirectlyundertheNationalTraditionalChineseMedicineAdministrationandconsistsofthehospitalheadquartersandtheInstituteofOrthopaedicsandInjury.
After45yearsofinheritanceanddevelopment,thehospitalhasnowbecomeaTCMorthopaedicdepartmentasthefocus,andotherdisciplineshavedevelopedsynchronouslytomeettheneedsofregionalmedicalandpublichealthasthemainbody,withtheconstructionofaTCMorthopaedicclinicalresearchbaseandaTCMrehabilitationcenterasthedirection.
ThecharacteristicsandadvantagesofTCMareremarkable,theemergencyandemergencyservicecapabilitiesareoutstanding,andthetraditionalandmoderndiagnosisandtreatmenttechnologiesarecombinedwithGradeIIIATCMhospitals.
