Arthroscopy minimally invasive technology

In the past, knee joint pain was often treated with plasters and external application of traditional Chinese medicine, but the effect was not ideal. Many patients have this experience.

In fact, the causes of knee joint pain are very complex. The main causes include osteoarthritis (bone hyperplasia), articular cartilage damage, meniscus damage, ligament damage, etc.

In addition, almost everyone, including most doctors, refers to pain in the shoulder joint as "frozen shoulder", but in fact it is often not the case.

Shoulder joint diseases are also very complex, including subacromial impingement syndrome, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder joint instability, etc.

It is not difficult to imagine that treatment methods such as applying plasters, external application of traditional Chinese medicine, and massage can obviously not solve these complex intra-articular diseases.

So, is there a way that is more effective and less painful?

Of course, this is advanced arthroscopy technology.

Arthroscopy is a special endoscope that can not only see the lesions in the joint cavity, but also use special surgical instruments to perform precise surgical operations under arthroscopy.

Arthroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery with very little damage and can be completed with only two small incisions of 5mm in length.

The observation under the microscope is clear, the diagnosis is clear, the operation is highly precise, the recovery is fast, the pain is small, the effect is good, the hospitalization time is short, and the patient's cost is saved. It is the most ideal treatment method in the field of joint surgery and sports medicine.

At present, most joint surgeries can be performed under arthroscopy without having to incise the joints. The therapeutic effect is also significantly better than that of incisional surgery, and it has unparalleled advantages over traditional incisional surgery.

Artificial joint replacement is arguably one of the greatest breakthroughs in orthopedic surgery this century.

At present, it has been used to treat diseases such as shoulder joints, elbow joints, wrist joints, interphalangeal joints, hip joints, knee joints and ankle joints, with artificial hip and knee joint replacement being the most common.

The design and materials of artificial joints are the result of the continuous efforts of biomechanics experts, materials engineers and orthopedic surgeons.

It is mostly made of metal and high-density plastic materials, and is made according to the structure, shape and function of human joints. The types of metals include alloys, cobalt-chromium alloys and stainless steel, while the plastic material is high-density and wear-resistant polyethylene.

In order to make the joints and bones tightly integrated and prevent them from loosening in the future, bone cement can be used to fix them or the holes in the artificial joints can be used to allow the bones to grow in.

Most patients don’t know much about artificial joints. They often think that during surgery, all joints will be removed and stainless steel joints will be installed. After surgery, the limbs will be like robots, stiff and unnatural.

In fact, artificial joint replacement surgery only removes the worn and damaged joint surface, just like installing braces, and implants the artificial joint to restore the normal and smooth joint surface.

Therefore, in the past, artificial joint replacement was also called "artificial joint surface replacement".

The rapid development of international sports medicine has completely changed the concept that sports medicine only provides medical services to athletes.

Modern sports medicine not only protects the health of athletes, but also increasingly provides the general population with more advanced health knowledge and new concepts and methods of trauma treatment.

Sports medicine, on the one hand, studies the impact of sports on human health, and on the other hand, studies and treats injuries and diseases caused by sports.

The so-called sports trauma refers to the trauma caused by humans engaging in various sports and sports-related activities. It is the most important component of sports medicine. Its main task is to diagnose and treat sports trauma, strains and diseases based on understanding the causes and mechanisms of injuries, including complete prevention, treatment and rehabilitation methods, so that people can better enjoy the benefits of sports.

The current concept of sports is not limited to traditional competitive events such as track and field, gymnastics, and ball games, but also includes fitness and entertainment activities such as running, mountain climbing, walking, cycling, and aerobics. Therefore, the people involved in sports injuries are not limited to athletes, but include all people, especially students, soldiers, actors, etc.

In fact, whether in absolute numbers or relative proportions, the incidence of sports injuries among the general population is much higher than that among professional athletes.

Trauma is inevitable if you exercise. With the development of social economy, the concept of "exercise and fitness" is becoming more and more popular, and the number of patients with sports trauma is also becoming larger and larger.

Treatment of sports injuries must not only relieve the patient's pain, but also restore their motor function with minimal trauma.

Therefore, higher requirements have been put forward for the accuracy of diagnosis, minimally invasive treatment and the importance of rehabilitation.

At present, orthopedic surgeons are facing more and more patients with sports injuries, but most orthopedic surgeons have obviously insufficient understanding of sports injuries.

Due to the particularity of sports injuries and the urgent demand of sports people for early rehabilitation and return to sports, arthroscopic minimally invasive technology has become the main method of treating sports injuries. Arthroscopic surgeons have obvious advantages in dealing with sports injuries.

With the concept of "minimally invasive" deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and the professional division of labor becoming more and more detailed, a new discipline - Orthopedic Sports Medicine (orthopedic sports medicine) has emerged around the world in recent years. As an interdisciplinary subject of orthopedics and sports medicine, it shows good development prospects.

Orthopedic sports medicine mainly diagnoses and treats injuries and lesions of bones and joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, menisci, synovial membrane and other tissues related to sports.

In addition to athletes, it is also a common injury among the general population.

Minimally invasive technology represented by arthroscopic surgery has become the main treatment method in orthopedic sports medicine, and it continues to create more advanced treatment methods and more active and effective rehabilitation measures to benefit human health.

Department of Sports Medicine II:

The Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology is an earlier department established by the Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology of our hospital. It has a long history and rich heritage. It has outstanding traditional characteristics in the treatment of "fractures" and "muscle injuries". At present, the department will take orthopedic injury rehabilitation as its further main direction and strive to become an influential national key discipline at home and abroad.

The Department of Sports Medicine inherits the academic ideas of "integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine" in the treatment of orthopedic diseases from Professor Shang Tianyu, a master of bone setting in China, and Professor Sun Shuchun, a national famous doctor, and implements the treatment principles of "combination of movement and stillness, equal emphasis on muscles and bones, internal and external treatment, doctor-patient cooperation" and "light, skillful, gentle and gentle" tendon injury techniques.

In terms of orthopedic injury rehabilitation, we combine traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment technology with modern rehabilitation science to highlight the advantages and characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine orthopedic rehabilitation. We provide patients with limb dysfunction after fracture surgery, joint replacement surgery, cervical and lumbar spine surgery, spinal cord injury, neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain and other diseases. Rehabilitation programs integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine are provided to patients to maximize limb function and allow patients to return to their families and society.

In the treatment of tendon pain, especially in the treatment of painful diseases such as cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, and knee osteoarthritis, based on the idea of "paying equal attention to the muscles and bones", the traditional Chinese medicine meridian theory and the anatomical basis and biomechanics of modern medicine are combined In combination, with the purpose of "relieving pain, restoring function, and improving quality of life", a set of non-surgical treatment technologies are summarized and inherited, namely acupuncture and beryllium needle release technology, meridian manipulation chiropractic technology, drug ultrasound introduction technology, and physical therapy functional rehabilitation technology.

The four major technologies are interrelated but relatively independent, forming a flexible and changeable tendon injury treatment system.

In terms of fracture treatment, the minimally invasive concept is used as the purpose, highlighting the traditional characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, highlighting the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine bone setting, small splints, external fixators, minimally invasive medullary nails, percutaneous screw fixation and other fracture treatment advantages, forming a four-in-one fracture treatment system of manual bone setting, instrument fixation, Chinese medicine bone setting, and physical therapy rehabilitation.

In terms of traditional Chinese medicine intervention for orthopedic diseases, the application of traditional Chinese medicine's "holistic concept, syndrome differentiation and treatment" in orthopedics and traumatology is emphasized.

Following the principle of "treating both internal and external", we pay attention to the internal and external syndrome differentiation relationship between "viscera" and "muscles and bones".

For diseases such as cervical vertigo, chronic low back and leg pain, osteoporosis, and osteoporotic fractures (such as simple thoracolumbar compression fractures, distal radius fractures), we not only provide local treatment, but also actively carry out overall conditioning.

There are currently 6 undergraduate students with medical degrees, 7 with senior professional titles, and 8 with intermediate professional titles.

All medical staff are dedicated to providing you with high-quality medical services in a comfortable medical environment.

Department business introduction 1:

Combining the PT (Physical Therapy) and OT (Occupational Therapy) of modern rehabilitation science with the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we formulate adaptive rehabilitation plans according to the degree of functional impairment of different patients, combine assessment and treatment, and cooperate with doctors and rehabilitation therapists to provide standardized treatment plans for TCM rehabilitation for patients with limb dysfunction such as orthopedic surgery, spinal cord injury, etc., so as to restore and reconstruct limb functions to the greatest extent.

Department business introduction 2:

Comprehensive non-surgical treatment options such as traditional Chinese medicine, manual massage, acupuncture, acupotomy, physiotherapy, ultrasound-guided puncture, shock waves, and transcutaneous electrical stimulation of acupoints are used to treat cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis, frozen shoulder, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and various degenerative diseases, giving full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine and demonstrating the characteristics and efficacy of non-surgical treatment.

Department business introduction three:

Traditional Chinese medicine bone setting, plaster or small splint fixation technology, Chinese medicine, etc. are used to treat distal radius fractures, surgical neck fractures, etc., and carry forward the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine orthopedics and traumatology, so that patients can receive efficient and safe treatment and rehabilitation with the least pain and low consumption.

Various modern orthopedic techniques such as steel plates, screws, external fixators, intramedullary nails (PFNA, InterTan, etc.), PKP and other modern orthopedic techniques are carried out to treat limb fractures, spinal compression fractures, etc.

Minimally invasive arthroscopy, hip and knee replacement, and spinal internal fixation techniques are carried out to treat hip and knee osteoarthritis, femoral head necrosis, lumbar spinal stenosis, intervertebral disc herniation, cervical spondylosis, etc.
