Nutrition Department The Nutrition Department of the First Medical Center currently has 5 higher vocational experts and 11 professional and technical personnel. It is responsible for the clinical nutritional treatment, nutritional care and support of all inpatients and outpatients in the first and second centers, as well as related scientific research and teaching work. It is the vice-chairman and secretary-general unit of the Clinical Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, a member unit of the Military Medical Nutrition Professional Committee, a demonstration base for maternal nutrition clinics in Beijing, and the first batch of registered dietitian practical training bases. We are the first to propose the concept of "SMART nutrition" in China, which provides staged and individualized nutrition assessment and intervention for various diseases, combining evaluation and treatment. Doctors/technicians jointly participate in outpatient clinics and consultations to effectively implement "precision nutrition treatment". The specialty outpatient treatments currently carried out mainly include: obesity (hyperlipidemia/hyperuric acid/osteoporosis, etc.), tumors/radiation and chemotherapy, perioperative period, diabetes, chronic renal insufficiency, maternal nutrition, pediatric ketogenic diet/growth and development, elderly nutrition, and various signs of malnutrition (such as anemia, gastrointestinal disorders, weight loss, vitamin or trace element deficiency, etc.).
