Department of Hematology and Medicine The Department of Hematology was officially launched in June 2020. It consists of the former Department of Hematology of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital (formerly the 301st Hospital of the People's Liberation Army), the former Department of Hematology of the Affiliated Hospital of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences (the former 307th Hospital of the People's Liberation Army), the Department of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation, the Department of Lymphoma, and the Department of Poisoning Treatment; The former Department of Hematology of the First Affiliated Hospital of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital; the former Department of Hematology of the Navy General Hospital; the former Department of Hematology of the Beijing Military Region General Hospital; the former Department of Hematology of the 309th Hospital of the People's Liberation Army; the former Key Laboratory of Nuclearization of the PLA, the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Research Institute, the Oncology Laboratory and the Immunology Laboratory were integrated and reshaped. The reorganized Department of Hematology is a national-level professional medical research institution for acute radiation sickness and hematology that integrates medical care, scientific research, and teaching. It brings together well-known experts in nuclear injury and hematology treatment at home and abroad, and has a large number of skilled and high-quality clinical technicians and scientific researchers. It is a national key clinical specialty military construction project, the Army's Hematology Center, and a key discipline in Beijing. The Department of Hematology and Medicine is headquartered in the South Campus of the Fifth Medical Center and has a Department of Hematology, a Department of Radiation Injury Treatment, a Department of Chemical Injury Treatment, and a research institute.
