The Rheumatology Department pioneered the diagnostic and therapeutic features of 'cold-heat differentiation, dispelling stasis and unblocking collaterals' and the internal-and-external 'five-link' characteristic therapy. It mainly treats rheumatic and immune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren's syndrome, myositis, vasculitis, Behçet's disease and psoriatic arthritis.
