Infectious Disease Dept.
Inner Mongolia International Mongolian Hospital
Department overview
The Infectious Disease Department mainly uses integrated Mongolian-and-Western medicine to treat patients with various infectious and contagious diseases. Infectious diseases mainly include respiratory-tract infections (such as pneumonia and COPD with infection), urinary-tract infections (such as pyelonephritis and cystitis), gastrointestinal infections (viral and bacterial enteritis), intra-abdominal infections (such as appendicitis and liver abscess), and multidrug-resistant bacterial infections. Contagious diseases mainly include viral infectious diseases (such as all types of viral hepatitis, influenza and novel-coronavirus infection), bacterial infectious diseases (such as typhus, brucellosis, pertussis and scarlet fever), and the diagnosis and treatment of fever of unknown origin. Current characteristic treatments include fully Mongolian-herbal and Mongolian-therapy fever reduction and cough-relieving/asthma-calming treatment. In 2025 the department is establishing a classical Mongolian-medicine ward, gradually replacing antibiotics with Mongolian herbal medicine to treat infectious diseases.
