The Pathology Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is an important medical technology department in our hospital. The department currently has 9 medical technicians, including 1 chief physician, 3 attending physicians, 1 physician, 4 technicians, 1 doctor, 5 masters, and 1 master's tutor. Members of the department have presided over and participated in more than 10 projects at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, and department and bureau levels. They have won 2 third-class provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards, multiple department- and bureau-level scientific and technological progress awards, and published more than 60 academic papers. As the deputy director unit of the Tianjin Pathology Quality Control Center, the vice president unit of the Pathology Branch of the Tianjin Medical Doctors Association, and the deputy director unit of the Pathology Branch of the Tianjin Society of Integrative Medicine, the department actively organizes and participates in quality control and academic activities.The department director was elected as the new standing committee member of the Pathologist Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. He participated in the revision and release of the national "Clinical Practice Guidelines for Pathological Diagnosis of Melanoma (2021 Edition)" organized by the Chinese Medical Association, and participated in the revision of the opinion and adoption status table of the Chinese Hospital Association's "Hospital Quality and Safety Management" - "Clinical Pathology" volume. He has hosted the annual meetings of the Dermatopathology Group of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association for many times. They also achieved excellent results in the Paraffin Section Competition of the Pathology Branch of the China Medical Equipment Association. The department is responsible for the pathological diagnosis of all clinical departments in the hospital. It has rich experience in pathological diagnosis of common and frequently-occurring diseases in various organs and systems of the human body. It is good at thyroid, breast, nervous system, digestive system, respiratory system, genitourinary system, head and neck, skin Clinical pathological diagnosis of tumors and non-neoplastic lesions such as soft tissue and soft tissue, with more than 10,000 annual inspections and more than 8,000 cytology specimens. It has nearly 150 types of immunohistochemical antibodies, with a trend of increasing year by year, and is proficient in using a variety of immunohistochemical testing packages. In addition, the department has also signed contracts with two pathological diagnosis guidance hospitals to undertake intraoperative frozen pathology diagnosis and difficult pathology consultation work at Tianjin Second Hospital and Tianjin Third Central Hospital Branch, achieving a radiation guidance role.
