Diabetic Foot Department

The Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The Department of Diabetic Podiatry of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a key discipline of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a key specialty of Tianjin Traditional Chinese Medicine, a key discipline of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a doctoral and master's awarding site. It has hosted 2 National Natural Fund projects, undertaken 1 national "11th Five-Year Plan" science and technology support plan, and presided over 2 Tianjin projects. It has a teaching and research department of traditional Chinese medicine surgery and a diabetic foot research department, with 40 beds. Responsible for the teaching of Traditional Chinese Medicine Surgery at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and participated in the compilation of 2 textbooks such as "Traditional Chinese Medicine Surgery". After 50 years of unremitting efforts, the discipline has a clear research direction, a complete theoretical system, outstanding academic ideas, precise clinical efficacy, and a complete talent echelon. The proposed healing rules of sores and ulcers are "removal of rot and growth of muscle, smooth muscle and growth of skin" and the treatment principles of "giving evil a way out" are unanimously praised by domestic colleagues. In terms of comprehensive treatment of diabetic foot, the Department of Diabetic Podiatry advocates both internal and external treatment, and puts forward the academic idea of "strengthening the body, eliminating evil, removing decay and regenerating". It emphasizes holistic treatment on the basis of removing decay and regenerating muscle. It summarizes and develops two new technologies to treat refractory wounds, filling the gap of external treatment of diabetic foot. In terms of wound and repair, it not only improves the efficacy, shortens the course of treatment, but also saves costs, benefits the people, and has formed its own characteristics. One of the features: In the field of research on the characteristic external treatment of common surgical diseases in traditional Chinese medicine, we mainly study treatment methods that are simple, convenient, proven, and inexpensive, and propose the basic treatment principle of "comprehensive treatment, external treatment as the mainstay, and giving the evil a way out"; we have created fire-needle hole drainage in the abscess stage, which is more linear than before Large incisions have the advantages of good drainage, small trauma, and fast healing; it was concluded that "sputum is removed and muscle is grown, muscle is flat and skin is grown" as the healing law of all ulcers; Jinshang Powder and Qufu Shengji Powder No. 1 to 5 were developed, which have a profound impact in the field of domestic and international diabetic foot treatment. Feature 2: In the research field of external Chinese medicine for diabetic foot, research on the transdermal Chinese medicine and substitution of rare Chinese medicine, chronic refractory ulcers, diabetic foot and anorectal diseases have been conducted. We are committed to finding equivalent substitutes for some rare external drugs to reduce costs and enable traditional Chinese medicine to better cure diseases and relieve pain for the people. Feature 3: In the field of research on the treatment of diabetic foot gangrene, the staging of ulcers is applied to diabetic foot gangrene wounds, and the etiology theory of "blood stasis caused by decay" is proposed, the treatment principle of "strengthening the body to remove decay, but not removing all decay", as well as the "corrosion regeneration" method and a variety of special treatment methods.Under the guidance of Professor Li Jing, a veteran in the field of ulcers, he proposed treatment methods such as hole-type drainage, removal of putrefaction and myogenesis, traditional Chinese medicine combined with negative pressure suction, and explored the healing law of "removal of putrefaction and myogenesis, muscle flatness and skin growth", and developed a variety of clinically effective agreed prescriptions and hospital preparations. Now the department has been designated as Tianjin Traditional Chinese Medicine Diabetic Foot Specialty Diagnosis and Treatment Base. Feature 4: In the field of chronic wound non-healing, we are committed to the treatment and research of various chronic refractory wounds, including postoperative non-healing wounds, congenital sinus fistulas, etc. It was found that the reason why the wound did not heal was because "there is no way out" and "if the rot is not removed, new flesh will not grow". Therefore, Chinese and Western medicines were used to flush and perfuse the wound, which ultimately shortened the course of the disease, alleviated the pain, saved many patients from surgery and disability, and improved the quality of life. Since 2000, the Department of Diabetic Podiatry has been collecting, sorting and mining ancient and modern literature on surgical sores and ulcers in traditional Chinese medicine. In the past ten years, a computer network development platform has been used to establish a literature database. The content includes: names of surgical sores and ulcers in traditional Chinese medicine, famous medicines, famous books, pictures, journal articles, clinical cases, graduate thesis teaching courseware, teaching libraries, etc. Users can use this database to systematically obtain relevant information.
