TCM Surgery Department

The Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine Surgery, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine, traces its origins back to 1887, the founder of the Jingu Zhangyang academic school (Jingu School of Zhangyang), Grand Master Gao Qiyun, known as "Jinmen Huatuo", and is the base of the Jingu Zhangyang academic school. The Jin School of Sores and Ulcers has a long history, rich content, valuable experience, reliable curative effect, and various treatment methods. It has been inherited and developed by the second and third generations of clinical and scientific research, Yang Xinsan, Yang Heqi, Li Jing, and Li Xiulan, and the fourth generation of successors and disciplinary leaders. Professor Zhang Zhaohui, the leader, led the team to form a series of original external treatment theoretical systems of TCM surgical diseases after years of hard work and on the basis of summarizing inherited experience, such as "protection hoops, interaction of medicine and sores, giving evil outlets, removal of putrefaction and myogenesis, muscle flatness and skin growth"; Under the guidance of this theoretical system, a variety of traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment techniques such as "circling poison, hole-type drainage, cow-nose drainage, closed suction, traditional Chinese medicine to grow pus, and spot skin grafting" are used to treat various types of refractory wounds, body surface and organ infections, and other miscellaneous diseases in traditional Chinese medicine surgery, and have achieved remarkable results.Especially in the areas of necrotizing fasciitis, chronic refractory ulcers, cancerous ulcers, severe refractory diabetic foot ulcers, and in-situ limb salvage, a simple and cost-effective one-stop comprehensive treatment plan has been formed, which has improved the cure rate, reduced the amputation rate, and the mortality rate, ensured the patient's quality of life, extended the patient's life, and reduced medical expenses, and has won unanimous praise from patients. Passed down from generation to generation, after more than 130 years of joint efforts and inheritance and innovation by five generations, the hospital has gradually established five major professional directions in traditional Chinese medicine surgery: ulcer diseases, diabetic foot disease, peripheral vascular disease, anorectal disease, and refractory wounds. It has expanded the treatment of diseases to include glycolipid metabolic diseases, nail and breast diseases, superficial tumors, inflammatory bowel disease, vasculitis and other miscellaneous diseases. "The past serves the present, the West serves China, and both Chinese and Western medicine" is committed to providing high-quality and efficient medical services to the majority of patients.
