The Oncology Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine focuses on malignant tumors such as lung cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, and breast cancer. In clinical diagnosis and treatment, we give full play to the advantages of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and put forward the "three-differentiation cancer treatment" theory based on clinical diagnosis and treatment, which includes syndrome differentiation, disease differentiation, and disease location. This highlights the flexibility and individualization of traditional Chinese medicine in cancer treatment, and avoids the disadvantages of one medicine for a thousand people or one medicine for a thousand people. Faced with the difficulties in TCM treatment of cancer in different periods, targeted TCM solutions have been clarified. In the asymptomatic period, cancer suppression is the main method, and methods such as three differentiation theories, traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions, self-preparations, and rehabilitation are mainly used; in the treatment period, the toxic and side effects after radiotherapy and chemotherapy are reduced, mainly by taking Chinese medicine internally and externally, etc.; in emergencies with advanced tumors, enema, fumigation, acupuncture, drug penetration, and other methods are used to reduce symptoms and improve the quality of life.
