Gynecology Department

The Department of Gynecology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine is a national key clinical specialty, a national regional TCM diagnosis and treatment center, a key discipline and key specialty of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a national continuing medical education base, a national drug clinical trial research institution, and the first batch of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine specialist bases in Tianjin; the first batch of standardized training bases for resident doctors of the Tianjin Municipal Health Bureau, and a doctoral and master's degree authorization site. In 2016, it entered the top 100 gynecological departments with scientific and technological influence among tertiary hospitals in the country. In 2019, it was selected as the best research specialty in China's traditional Chinese medicine hospitals. In 2021, it was selected as the best clinical specialty in China's traditional Chinese medicine hospitals. In 2022, this discipline became the only one in China. The Department of Medicine was approved by the National Cancer Center as one of the first batch of quality control pilot units for standardized diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer. In 2022, it took the lead in establishing the Tianjin Traditional Chinese Medicine Gynecology Specialty Alliance as the leading unit. It has a strong influence in the national traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine gynecology academic circles.The subject team has a reasonable personnel structure, including 1 instructor for inheriting the academic experience of veteran Chinese medicine experts across the country, 2 academic experience inheritors, 1 young and middle-aged backbone innovative talent from Tianjin higher education institutions, 2 Tianjin 131 talents, and 1 famous teaching teacher from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
