The Nutrition Department of Tianjin First Central Hospital was founded in the early days of liberation. In the past two decades, it has been greatly improved and developed on the original basis. It develops dozens of various therapeutic diets and cooperates with clinical enteral and parenteral nutrition treatments. The overall level of the nutrition department of our hospital is now at the forefront of the city's nutrition departments. In the clinical nutrition quality control inspection and evaluation conducted by the Health Bureau over the years, the results have always been among the best. In December 2009, it successfully applied for the National Standardized Clinical Nutrition Pilot Hospital and was approved. In 2011, it joined the China Clinical Nutrition Alliance as a governing unit (members include forty tertiary hospitals across the country). The Department of Nutrition has always been a training base for clinical nutrition professionals in Tianjin and is responsible for teaching and training. It has taught hundreds of nutrition professional interns and further training personnel from Tianjin Medical University, Tianjin Medical College, Cangzhou Medical College, National Nutritionist Training Class (Tianjin area), hospitals in this city and other provinces and cities such as Hebei, Xinjiang, Shaanxi, etc. Currently, they have become the backbone of their respective jobs. Under the guidance of the Science and Education Department, the clinical nutrition major teaching syllabus for medical colleges was written, and preparations were made to establish a central hospital nutrition teaching and research office in consultation with the school.
