Cardiovascular Department
Tianjin First Central Hospital
The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of Tianjin First Central Hospital is a key department of the hospital. The ward consists of coronary care unit (CCU), general ward, catheterization laboratory, echocardiography laboratory and non-invasive cardiac electrophysiology examination room. Currently, there are 97 fixed beds, including 32 CCU beds. There are currently 92 medical staff, including 7 chief physicians, 5 deputy chief physicians, 10 attending physicians, and more than 80% of them have doctorate or master's degrees. The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine now has advanced cath lab equipment, including suspended IVUS equipment, optical interference tomography (OCT) system, three-dimensional mapping system CARTO3 system, fractional flow reserve (FFR) detection system, ACIST angiography injection system, Dutch Philip angiography system, and American Datascope98 intra-aortic balloon counterpulsator. The intensive care unit has two central monitoring systems, GE and Philip from the United States, Pruka 64-lead physiological instrument from the United States, Philipi E33 type and GEVVT echocardiography, etc. The strong strength of our center provides good support for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The cardiovascular medicine outpatient clinic sees about 56,000 patients every year, the ward treats 4,000 patients every year, and rescues about 1,000 patients with acute myocardial infarction, with a rescue success rate of over 95%. Our department specializes in stent implantation surgery for coronary heart disease and has completed more than 10,000 interventional surgeries for various types of cardiovascular diseases. Currently, it completes more than 2,800 surgeries every year. The coronary interventional procedures performed by this department include: transradial or femoral coronary angiography and stent implantation, emergency coronary intervention, interventional treatment of left main disease and chronic occlusive disease, intracoronary rotation, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), coronary optical coherence tomography (OCT), fractional flow reserve (FFR) detection, aorta Internal balloon counterpulsation (IABP), vascular stapler hemostasis after interventional treatment, etc.; cardiac electrophysiology surgeries performed include: permanent pacemaker implantation, radiofrequency ablation of arrhythmias such as supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, atrial tachycardia, ventricular premature, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implantation, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) for heart failure, etc. Professor Lu Chengzhi, director of the department, carries out renal artery denervation (RDN) to treat refractory hypertension, which has brought good news to many patients. In addition, our department has carried out interventional occlusion of congenital heart disease, chemical ablation of the ventricular septum for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, intravascular ultrasound, coronary optical coherence tomography, carotid artery stent and other technologies. The diagnosis and treatment technology of cardiovascular medicine has reached an advanced level.
