The overall technical level of the medical technical team of the Gastroenterology Department of Tianjin First Central Hospital is strong and the talent gradient is reasonable. Under the leadership of Zhang Guoliang, the department leader and director of the department of humanities, a gastroenterology system featuring subspecialties such as early digestive tract cancer, pancreatic and bile duct diseases, gastroesophageal varices, gastrointestinal tumors and polyps and other subspecialties has been formed. The Department of Gastroenterology currently has 19 doctors (4 with MDs and 10 with MScs), including 6 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians, and 20 in the nursing department. It consists of three units: gastroenterology ward, gastroenterology clinic, and digestive endoscopy center, with 45 fixed beds. The Department of Gastroenterology also has three main subspecialties: gastroenterology, hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, and endoscopic diagnosis and treatment, which are in line with the development of specialties and have high diagnostic and treatment technology and service capabilities.
