Pathology Department

The Pathology Department of Tianjin People's Hospital was merged into Tianjin People's Hospital in May 2003 when Tianjin Second Central Hospital, Red Cross Hospital, and Binjiang Hospital were merged. The pathology departments of the three hospitals were merged into the Pathology Department of Tianjin People's Hospital. There are 16 people in the general department, of which 2 are re-employed and 14 are on-the-job. There are 7 doctors and 9 technicians. Physician group: 1 chief physician, 3 deputy chief physicians, 2 attending physicians (master's degree students, one of whom is studying for a doctorate), 1 physician (master's degree student), technical group: 1 deputy chief technician, 2 chief technicians, 4 technicians, and 1 senior worker. Pathology is the bridge between basic medicine and clinical medicine. Effective and accurate treatment of any disease is based on correct diagnosis, and correct diagnosis comes from pathological diagnosis-the gold standard of diagnosis. Pathological examination is still based on tissue and cell changes observed under a microscope. Immunohistochemistry was carried out, and membrane liquid-based ultrathin cytology detection technology was introduced in May 2006. The total number of histopathological examinations in 2008 and 2009 was 8,672 and 10,815 respectively, mainly anorectal tumors and gynecological tumors. After the merger and establishment of the hospital, 35 papers were published. In 1984, Fan Di edited "Practical Ovarian Oncology". Editor-in-Chief 1993«;Ovarian Clinical and Pathology »; won the second prize of Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award. In 1999, he was the editor-in-chief of "Wang Deyan's Pathological Diagnosis of Tumors". In January 2006, Director Fan Di participated in the compilation of the key book "Ovarian Pathology" edited by Zhang Jianmin and published by Jiangxi Science and Technology Press. In 2008, he co-translated "Handbook of Human Placental Pathology". Received special government allowance from the State Council in 1993. In August 2009, the application of cervical cell DNA ploidy analysis method in cervical cancer screening was approved by our city’s health system to introduce new technologies to fill the gaps. In August 2009, he won one of the achievements of Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission. In 2009, the Tianjin Municipal Health Bureau approved the pathology residency training base, and 9 people have been trained in the hospital. Published by Tianjin Science and Technology Translation Press at the end of 2010, it was translated by all physicians in the Department of Pathology, with Tang Tao as the main translator of Robbins & Cotran's "Atlas of Pathology" (second edition, published in 2008). Tianjin Pathology Consultation Center is mainly responsible for difficult pathological diagnosis, pathological identification, transplant pathology, autopsy diagnosis, etc. in various medical professions in Tianjin and other provinces and cities. The center is open to pathologists in primary hospitals. Provide high-quality and fast medical services.The center has more than ten types of modern diagnostic instruments and equipment, such as multi-functional color pathology image analysis and management systems, microscopy teaching systems, digital cameras and video cameras. The center has nearly 80 types of immunohistochemistry reagents in stock. It can meet the pathological diagnosis of most clinical diseases. Clinics open daily. The former Pathology Department of Tianjin Second Central Hospital has a history of 43 years and has preserved pathological data of 100,000 cases.
