The Emergency Department of Tianjin People's Hospital assumes the important responsibility of the major emergency rescue center in the northwest region of Tianjin. The emergency department's technical strength and modern medical equipment can complete emergency rescue, identification and triage of life-threatening and organ function emergencies, and complete the differential diagnosis of emergencies as quickly as possible; critical illness monitoring and treatment; first aid in disaster events and in-hospital emergency care, etc. The rapid response speed of the emergency department leading to the imaging department for examination or transporting patients to the inpatient ward, as well as being sent to the emergency operating room, gives full play to the role of the emergency green channel and ensures the first time examination and rescue treatment of emergency critical patients. In particular, the green channel for single diseases can enable patients to receive faster emergency treatment. Generally, after emergency treatment, they can be admitted to the inpatient ward within 1-2 hours. The main departments of the emergency department are: internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, etc. The consultation departments are: thoracic surgery, anorectal surgery, urology, and stomatology. The emergency department is equipped with a triage desk, examination room, emergency care unit, observation room, emergency day ward, emergency debridement operating room, general surgical treatment room, orthopedic surgery room, gastric lavage room, treatment room, dressing room and infusion center.Integration of registration, payment, and medicine collection, advanced logistics transmission system, etc. After patients arrive at the emergency room, it is basically guaranteed that they will not leave the emergency area for examination and treatment. The emergency department is equipped with advanced defibrillation pacemaker, bedside crane-mounted operating tower, multi-function monitor and three-gas system, cardiopulmonary resuscitation machine, gastric lavage machine, suction device, etc. The emergency department receives about 7,000 patients per month, ranking first in the number of emergency patients in municipal hospitals.
