The Imaging Department of Tianjin People's Hospital is one of the key departments in the hospital, and its total equipment assets account for more than half of the hospital's fixed assets. At present, it has 1 superconducting 1.5T magnetic resonance machine, 1 PHILIPSMX800016 spiral CT machine, 1 Toshiba double spiral CT machine, 3 large X-ray machines above 500mA, 3 large DSA machines, CR3 machines, and 1 molybdenum target camera. The imaging department plays an important role in clinical diagnosis and treatment. The diagnosis, surgical selection, and postoperative follow-up of most cases require close cooperation with the imaging department. Therefore, promoting the learning of theoretical knowledge and strengthening the training of professional skills for professional and technical personnel is the top priority that the imaging department always pays attention to in its work. Over the past few years, the department has adhered to a multimedia morning reading system, a weekly reading report meeting, a weekly expert consultation, and a monthly academic activity in the city. We have invited well-known domestic experts to give lectures in the department many times, and successfully held provincial and municipal continuing education classes. In this atmosphere, the professional and technical level of physicians in the department has made great progress, and their awareness of scientific research has been greatly enhanced, which has been unanimously recognized by peers in this profession. In order to further improve the level of clinical diagnosis, we divided them into five academic groups based on individual strengths: head, chest, abdomen, musculoskeletal, and vascular. Young doctors adopt a group transfer system to fully master theoretical basic knowledge and professional skills, and strive for excellence in imaging diagnosis. Talents are an indispensable resource for the rise and fall and development of a department, especially young and energetic talents, who are also the driving force for a team's continuous development and progress. Chief Physician Liu Jun, Director of the Imaging Department, graduated from the eight-year medical major of Tianjin Medical University and received a doctorate in imaging medicine and nuclear medicine from Tianjin Medical University in 2000. He is currently a postgraduate tutor and associate professor in imaging medicine at Tianjin Medical University and Nankai University School of Medicine, and a part-time professor at the Fourth Military Medical University. At the same time, he serves as a national member of the Radiology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Neurology Group, a member of the Tianjin Radiology Branch, deputy director of the Tianjin Radiation Quality Control Center, a reviewer for the "Chinese Journal of Radiology", and an editorial board member of the "Foreign Medicine-Clinical Radiology Volume". Now he is the first-level talent cultivated by Tianjin’s innovative 131 talents. His professional research direction is neuroimaging diagnosis and magnetic resonance applications. Presided over and completed 1 municipal and bureau-level scientific research project, and participated in the completion of 1 municipal research project. He has won 2 second-class provincial and municipal scientific and technological progress awards (for the first and fourth completers respectively), 3 third-class awards (for the second and third completers respectively), 2 first-class bureau-level scientific and technological progress awards (for the first completer), and won 8 provincial and municipal scientific research achievements. Participated in the completion of 5 academic works (translations) and published more than 10 papers in core journals. He currently teaches 5 master's degree students. As the project leader, he is currently responsible for one general project of the Tianjin Applied Basic Research Plan and one scientific research project of the Tianjin Municipal Health Bureau. Currently, among the medical, technical and nursing staff of the Imaging Department, there is one chief physician and six deputy chief physicians, including one with a doctorate and six with master's degrees. The professional and technical personnel are getting younger, especially the highly educated technical backbones are young doctors around 40 years old. This is an advantage for the future development of the imaging department. In the next few years, the department is expected to further complete the upgrading of existing equipment with the strong support of the hospital leaders. The more important focus is still on the cultivation and introduction of talents, which is crucial to continuously improving the professional level of the department and the overall quality of the personnel.
