The Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of Tianjin People's Hospital is the largest trauma and orthopedics department among comprehensive tertiary-level hospitals in the city. It is responsible for most of the orthopedic medical work in the western part of the city and nearby areas. It has completed nearly 500 trauma and various surgeries throughout the year. Through continuous efforts and development, it has formed a clinical department featuring "limb trauma, hand surgery, and spinal trauma" and has unique advantages in the emergency treatment of polytrauma and compound injuries. Since the establishment of the hospital, it has successfully saved thousands of critically ill patients. Traumatology and orthopedics are an indispensable and important part of the field of orthopedics. With the development of modern transportation, the number of patients with traumatic injuries continues to increase, and at the same time, higher requirements are placed on traumatology orthopedics doctors. In order to adapt to this social development trend, the department attaches great importance to talent training. Every year, several people go to the best orthopedic hospitals at home and abroad for training and exchanges, constantly updating concepts, advancing with the times, and keeping pace with the most advanced international orthopedic trauma treatment concepts. The department now adopts European liss surgical technology and lcp surgical technology to treat limb fractures, reaching the domestic leading level.The Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics currently has 2 doctoral students, 5 master's students, and 3 people with associate senior professional titles or above. At the same time, it has introduced advanced orthopedic medical equipment, carried out difficult surgeries, strengthened scientific research work, and achieved new scientific research results. As the clinical teaching base of the Fourth Military Medical University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Tianjin Medical University, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tianjin Clinical Medical College, etc., the department undertakes a large amount of clinical, teaching, and research work, which is successfully completed every year and is well received by universities and students.
