The Respiratory Department of Tianjin People's Hospital is a department that integrates medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. It is responsible for the clinical teaching and internship tasks of Tianjin Medical University and Medical College. It is also a collaborative unit of Beijing Institute of Respiratory Diseases. The Respiratory Department of Tianjin People's Hospital specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and rescue of severe pulmonary heart disease and complicated multiple organ failure, pulmonary encephalopathy, respiratory failure, bronchial asthma and status asthmaticus, massive hemoptysis, pleural disease, lung cancer and difficult respiratory diseases (such as pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, etc.). New technologies such as intratracheal radiotherapy through fiber bronchoscopy for the treatment of intermediate and advanced central lung cancer and alveolar lavage through fiber bronchoscopy for differential diagnosis of various lung diseases were launched in Tianjin and among the first in the country. Interventional techniques have been used to rescue patients with massive hemoptysis and local chemotherapy for lung cancer.
