The Pathology Department of Tianjin Hospital was founded in 1954 by researcher Li Ruizong. Li Ruizong is an expert in bone tumor pathology and was hired as a member of the "International Musculoskeletal Society" in the 1980s. The Department of Pathology integrates clinical pathology diagnosis, scientific research, and teaching. Over the past sixty years, it has been at the domestic advanced level in bone and joint pathological diagnosis. In early 2014, it merged with the pathology department of Tianjin Tianhe Hospital, integrating the advantages of both parties, and has the qualifications of the pathology department of a third-level comprehensive hospital.
