The Radiology Department of Tianjin Hospital is a comprehensive imaging discipline that integrates various categories of imaging diagnosis and imaging technology. It is responsible for the teaching, scientific research and management of medical imaging. The Radiology Department currently has 50 medical technicians at all levels, including 5 chief physicians, 2 deputy chief physicians, 1 chief technician, 2 deputy chief technicians, 1 deputy chief nurse, and 1 senior engineer. Many people hold positions as chairpersons, standing committee members, and committee members in professional academic groups across the country and in our city. They also serve as editorial boards of many professional journals such as the International Journal of Medical Radiology and the Journal of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and Surgery. The department is equipped with imaging examination equipment: 3 computerized radiography systems (CR), 5 digital radiography systems (DR), 2 mobile DRs, 2 high-end CTs, and 2 3.0T high-field magnetic resonance equipment, which can fully meet clinical, teaching and scientific research needs. PACS and RIS systems covering the entire hospital have been built to realize the informatization and digitalization process of images, and to realize the self-service issuance of diagnostic reports and imaging films. With the increasing perfection of our department's imaging equipment and the continuous improvement of imaging technology, the number of examination services provided to patients has increased year by year, reaching more than 260,000 in 2020.The discipline focuses on solving clinical needs, attaches great importance to multidisciplinary cooperation and exchanges, and adheres to clinical academic exchanges and case studies guided by scientific research. Over the years, it has won the "Excellence Award for Medical Imaging Diagnostic Report Quality Control", "Excellence Award for DR Quality Control", "Excellence Award for MRI Quality Control" and "Excellence Award for CT Quality Control" issued by the Tianjin Municipal Health Bureau. The Department of Radiology is the training center for graduate students majoring in imaging medicine and nuclear medicine at Tianjin Medical University. Currently, more than 60 graduate students (3 foreign students) have graduated. It undertakes the task of being a medical imaging base for standardized training of residents in Tianjin and has completed 10 trainee training sessions. He is responsible for teaching three undergraduate courses at Tianjin Medical University, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Tianjin Medical University Clinical School. It is the unit in charge of two national, provincial and municipal excellent courses at Tianjin Medical College, and has trained a large number of imaging professionals at all levels and types for Tianjin and even the country. He has undertaken 11 scientific and technological research projects and general projects of the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission, published nearly 200 papers in SCI-collected magazines and professional core journals, completed more than 20 projects to introduce and apply new technologies to fill gaps in the Tianjin health system, and won 2 national invention patents and multiple utility model patents. Current key research areas: 1. Research on multi-modal magnetic resonance examination of cerebrovascular disease; optimization of dynamic MRI examination sequence of temporomandibular joint and diagnosis of common diseases; technical discussion of MR imaging of brachial plexus and lumbosacral plexus; expansion research of MR water imaging technology in the diagnosis of abdominal and pelvic diseases; MRI interpretation of pelvic floor structure (female, male); MRI evaluation of pelvic muscle damage in pelvic fracture classification; MRI diagnostic criteria for the formation of scar diverticulum in scarred uterus; feasibility of multi-modal magnetic resonance imaging in predicting femoral head necrosis after femoral neck fracture; discussion of MR arthrography contrast agent concentration and examination sequence; MRI evaluation and grading of limb bone and joint sports injuries; MRI quantitative study of multiple structures of knee joint degeneration; MRI analysis of tarsal sinus anatomy and disease; 2. Application of body position design in removing subclavian vein CT artifacts; study of low-dose CT measurement of male breast gland/fat ratio;CT analysis of lung damage volume ratio; research on precise CT positioning before minimally invasive surgery for rib fractures; application of low-dose CT scanning parameter optimization in pectus excavatum; research on improving the quality of coronary CT vascular imaging in arrhythmias; application of energy spectrum CT in degenerative osteoarthropathy; CT perfusion study of aseptic necrosis of the femoral head; 4DCT angiography to accurately evaluate the "crown of death" blood vessels in complex pelvic fractures; comparative analysis of single-energy and mixed-energy CT showing blood vessels in the anterolateral femoral flap; optimization of low-dose CT parameters of the entire lower limbs for pre-osteotomy and orthopedic evaluation; CTA study of anatomic variations of the knee arterial network in tibial plateau fractures; comparison of orthopedic measurements and DR plain films of weight-bearing CT reconstruction data of both feet; radiomics and machine learning to evaluate the imaging characteristics of common diseases of the musculoskeletal system; 3. Development of auxiliary equipment for functional position X-ray photography of the bone and joint system; research on the determination of fracture healing using digital body layer fusion technology; research on the observation of pulmonary nodules with chest dual-energy photography; full-length photography technology and related measurements for adolescent scoliosis; systematic analysis of the clinical needs of full-length photography of the lower limbs, and formulating measurement plans for different needs; measurement of angles of foot X-ray photography in weight-bearing positions; The application of three-dimensional hip arthrography technology under anesthesia in the non-surgical treatment of DDH; research on special position X-ray photography technology under anesthesia; improving the problem of 1:1 film printing in the era of digital photography.
