Anesthesiology Department

The Anesthesiology Department of Tianjin Hospital was established in 1967. It currently has 41 people, including 1 chief physician, 5 deputy chief physicians, 22 attending physicians, 11 residents, 2 anesthesia nurses, 1 doctor, and 1 doctoral candidate. They are responsible for the surgical anesthesia work in the hospital's orthopedics, joint surgery, spine surgery, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopaediatrics, urology and other departments. Routinely performed anesthesia includes general anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia, regional tissue anesthesia, and painless surgeries and examinations in the hospital (painless endoscopic surgery and painless abortion). Our department also actively participates in the rescue work of critically ill patients in the hospital and the preoperative evaluation and consultation of critically ill patients. We have launched a pain treatment clinic, focusing on the learning of theoretical knowledge and the cultivation of clinical skills, and regularly organize continuing education studies within the department and continuing education lectures in the city.
