The Department of Orthopedics of Tianjin Hospital is a professional department featuring the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and bone mineral diseases as well as perioperative orthopedic medical diseases. The standardized diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and bone mineral salt diseases has reached the national advanced level, and it was awarded the "National Osteoporosis Diagnosis and Quality Control Test Base" by the Medical Affairs Department of the Ministry of Health. There is currently 1 chief physician, 11 deputy chief physicians, and 7 masters. He holds important positions in national professional academic groups and Tianjin professional academic groups. The department has diagnostic and treatment equipment such as insulin pumps, multifunctional vital sign monitors, osteoporosis treatment equipment, low-frequency pulsed magnetic field treatment equipment, orthopedic laser treatment equipment, and blood glucose detectors. It provides comprehensive medical support, evaluation and treatment in the perioperative or perifracture period for elderly or orthopedic surgery patients with complex and serious medical diseases, and fracture patients undergoing conservative treatment. We have accumulated rich clinical experience in the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic patients with diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, hypertension, thrombotic diseases, and infectious diseases, ensuring patient safety. The Department of Orthopedics has made useful explorations in re-fracture of osteoporotic fractures, and was awarded the "Diagnosis and Treatment Base for Secondary Prevention of Hip Fracture" by the Ministry of Health.The scope of diagnosis and treatment of the Department of Orthopedics also includes the diagnosis and treatment of unexplained bone, joint, and muscle diseases.
