The urology ward of Tianjin Hospital is currently the clinical teaching base of Tianjin University School of Medicine and the standardized training base for resident doctors in Tianjin. The department now has 30 beds and 10 on-the-job doctors, mainly middle-aged and young technical backbones, who are full of pioneering and innovative spirit and full of vitality. Among them, there are 2 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians, 4 attending physicians, and 1 resident physician; including 1 doctor and 3 masters. The Department of Urology currently has the most advanced urology medical equipment in the world, laying a solid material foundation for providing quality services to patients. It has an independent diagnosis and treatment center for urinary incontinence and urethral and pelvic floor reconstruction, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy room, urodynamic examination room, andrology disease examination and treatment room. It is equipped with high-definition laparoscopy, nephroscopy and EMS ballistic lithotripsy, imported 80W holmium laser, three different aperture ureteroscopes, cystoscope, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, urology specialist ultrasound machine, urodynamic examination workstation and many other large-scale medical equipment.The department currently has distinctive department characteristics in minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of urinary system tumors, stones, prostatic hyperplasia, trauma repair, male genital deformity, functional impairment and functional reconstruction, and minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of urinary system tumors and stones. The scope of diagnosis and treatment covers almost all urological and andrological diseases. Minimally invasive surgeries currently performed include: (1) Endourological surgery: including transurethral resection of the prostate, transurethral holmium laser enucleation of the prostate, transurethral resection of bladder tumors, rigid transurethral ureteroscopy, flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy and other surgeries. Our department is one of the few units that carried out transurethral minimally invasive surgery earlier in Tianjin. It is technically proficient and has remarkable curative effects. (2) Laparoscopic surgery: The laparoscopic surgeries carried out include: radical prostatectomy, radical cystectomy, adrenal tumor resection, renal tumor resection, partial nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, renal pelvis and ureterolithotomy, renal cyst removal and more than 30 kinds of surgeries. (3) Individualized minimally invasive treatment of urinary stones: Develop personalized quality plans based on the different locations and sizes of stones.We have been proficient in carrying out extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, combined with percutaneous nephrolithotomy, rigid ureteroscope, flexible ureteroscope, and holmium laser lithotripsy system. We adopt personalized treatment measures for different patients to achieve a combination of conservative treatment, extracorporeal lithotripsy, minimally invasive lithotripsy and open surgery to better treat urinary stones. 2. Treatment of urinary tract tumors: such as radical nephrectomy, adrenal tumor resection, ureteral bladder tumor radical resection, prostate cancer, penile cancer, testicular cancer, etc. For adrenal gland, kidney, bladder tumors, etc., minimally invasive endourological surgical methods such as laparoscopy and transurethral resection of bladder tumors are currently adopted, which can effectively reduce the patient's pain, shorten the hospitalization time, and save medical expenses. 3.
