Infectious Diseases Department

The Department of Infectious Diseases of the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was officially established in April 2017. It is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of various infectious diseases (non-infectious diseases) with fever as the main clinical manifestation. The department treats patients with various systemic infectious diseases (such as respiratory system, urinary system, central nervous system, skin and soft tissue, bone and joint infections, etc.) and patients with unexplained fever. The research focuses on the treatment and prevention of stroke-related pneumonia, the diagnosis and treatment of special infections and unexplained fever in immunocompromised populations (blood diseases, rheumatic immune diseases), the prevention and control of hospital infections and the rational use of antibacterial drugs. The infectious disease ward has 23 beds and currently has 1 chief physician, 1 deputy chief physician, 2 attending physicians and 3 resident physicians. The subject leader Liu Min has been engaged in clinical work for more than 20 years and has accumulated rich clinical experience. He is familiar with the diagnosis of various infectious diseases and various febrile diseases. He has profound basic theoretical knowledge and rich clinical experience in the clinical application of antibacterial drugs and anti-infective treatment.
