Spleen and Stomach Department

The First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The Internal Medicine Department of the Spleen and Gastroenterology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a key discipline of the Ministry of Education. The Department of Gastroenterology is a branch discipline under the Department of Internal Medicine. The Gastrointestinal Dynamics and Morphology Laboratory is a secondary laboratory for scientific research in traditional Chinese medicine in Tianjin. This discipline was founded in 1989. The founder is Mr. Wang Wenzhong, a famous traditional Chinese medicine doctor in our city. He is good at treating chronic atrophic gastritis, intestinal metaplasia and atypical hyperplasia. He treats spleen and stomach dampness and heat. According to the theory of "long-term disease enters the collaterals" of traditional Chinese medicine, he adds products that activate blood circulation and remove blood clots, soften and dissipate hard knots. Directors Wang Wenzhong and Chen Daquan jointly created the highly effective hospital preparation "Jianwei Mixture", which won the third prize of Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award. After 20 years of development, our department now integrates the endoscopy center, outpatient clinic and ward, and has modern endoscopy equipment, namely Fujinon EG-590, EG-410 gastroscope, EG-495 enteroscope, duodenoscope, Helicobacter pylori tester, microwave endoscopic treatment device GW-92F, and ERBE electrocoagulation endoscopic treatment device. Director Yang Qiang of the Endoscopy Center of our department has rich clinical experience in endoscopic hemostasis of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, esophageal dilatation and stent implantation to treat benign and malignant upper gastrointestinal stenosis, endoscopic gastrostomy to treat eating disorders, gastrointestinal polypectomy, etc., with significant clinical experience.Director Zhou Zhenghua focused on the treatment of "Helicobacter pylori infectious gastric disease" based on syndrome differentiation and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, combined with microscopic diagnosis under gastroscopy, and selected Chinese medicines that have been tested in vitro to kill Helicobacter pylori, and made a "coptis chinensis", scutellaria baicalensis, etc. joint formula. "Qingwei Decoction" aims to combine syndrome differentiation and disease diagnosis. While Hp-positive patients are treated with triple or quadruple Western medicine, the use of this drug can reduce the side effects of Western medicine, reduce antibiotic resistance, and improve the success rate of eradicating Helicobacter pylori. Director Chen Daquan has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years and has long been engaged in clinical work in the treatment of spleen and stomach diseases with traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine has a significant effect on gastrointestinal diseases, such as ulcer disease, chronic gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea, and constipation. He has presided over and participated in more than 10 scientific research projects. 10 achievements have been achieved, including 2 third-class Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Awards, and 1 second and third-class Tianjin Health Bureau Science and Technology Progress Awards. Won 1 teaching achievement award and 1 new technology introduction project. Director Yu Hexuan has been practicing medicine for 36 years.
