Nuclear Medicine Department

The Department of Nuclear Medicine of the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University has 21 medical technicians, including 1 chief physician, 2 deputy chief physicians, 2 deputy chief technicians, 1 master's student supervisor, 3 doctors with doctoral degrees, and 5 doctors with master's degrees. In 1985, the department was among the first in China and the first in Tianjin to introduce ECT imaging equipment, and in 1997 and 2010 it updated the world's most advanced ECT imaging equipment. In 2002, the city began to introduce the first batch of internationally renowned brands: fully automatic chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzers such as Bayer, Abbott, Siemens and Roche. The department is the presiding unit of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Tianjin Medical Association and the deputy presiding unit of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Tianjin Medical Doctors Association and Medical Imaging Technology Research Association. In 2020, it won the title of "Top Ten Departments" of the hospital.
