Ultrasound Diagnostic Department

The Diagnostic Ultrasound Department of the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University is a member unit of the standardized training quality control unit for ultrasound doctors in Tianjin. There are currently 19 medical and nursing technicians, including 2 deputy chief physicians, 1 deputy chief technician, 2 doctors with doctoral degrees, and 9 doctors with master's degrees. The department has 7 subspecialties: urology, blood vessels, abdomen, musculoskeletal nerves, superficial organs, obstetrics and gynecology, and interventional ultrasound, and more than 30 routine examination items and ultrasound consultation work. Routinely carry out various types of interventional examinations and treatments under ultrasound guidance, which are safe, effective, minimally invasive, and low-cost. They have relieved the pain of patients and reduced the economic burden. New technologies such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound were launched earlier, and have received good social and economic benefits. The routine projects carried out by the department are as follows: 1. Ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination of the urinary tract; 2. Ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination of the male reproductive system; 3. Color Doppler vascular examination of the male reproductive system (CDDU); 4. Color ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination of various organs in the abdominal cavity and pelvis; 5. Color ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination of superficial tissues and organs; 6. Color ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound diagnosis of carotid artery, peripheral blood vessel and abdominal vascular diseases; 7. Transrectal and transvaginal ultrasound examination; 8. Ultrasound elastography;9. Gynecological ultrasound and pelvic floor ultrasound examination; 10. Musculoskeletal ultrasound, neonatal urinary tract examination; 11. Ultrasound intervention: Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration cytology and pathological examination of thyroid nodules (FNAB); Ultrasound-guided puncture pathological biopsy of breasts, lymph nodes, superficial tumors, etc.; Abdominal organ puncture biopsy, chest and ascites drainage and catheter placement. Ultrasound-guided renal puncture examination carried out in cooperation with clinical clinics; ultrasonic diagnosis of renal artery stenosis; contrast-enhanced ultrasound and ultrasonic elastography. Among them, urinary tract ultrasound, reproductive ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound have all reached the city's leading level, and the annual number of patients undergoing contrast-enhanced ultrasound examinations is also at the forefront of the city. Strengthen cooperation with clinical departments: cooperate with the Department of Urology to carry out urinary stone examination. Collaborate with andrology to perform reproductive ultrasound. Responsible for teaching five-year clinical medicine, eight-year (5+3) and clinical majors at Tianjin Medical University; completing clinical internship teaching for graduate students in the imaging major; serving as a standardized training base for ultrasound residents in Tianjin; organizing and participating in inspections and evaluations such as Tianjin ultrasound quality control, Tianjin training base, and Tianjin stroke center construction and management supervision; and developing teaching materials for the ultrasound resident training base.Many experts in the department hold part-time jobs as members or above in national-level societies and Tianjin municipal-level societies. In recent years, the department has published dozens of papers in core journals at home and abroad, including 6 SCI papers as the first author, hosted and undertaken 2 scientific research projects at the National Natural Science and Technology Bureau level, and participated in the compilation of 2 professional books. The department adopts the policy model and talent training idea of ​​"communication and collaboration, standardized innovation, and common development". It sends many personnel out for study and training every year, strengthens exchanges and cooperation with well-known ultrasound experts at home and abroad, and gradually builds a high-end talent training model that combines domestic and international.
