Nutrition Department

The Nutrition Department of the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University is mainly engaged in clinical nutrition work in the hospital. It currently has 5 medical nutrition professional technicians, including 1 deputy senior professional title and 1 professional nutrition chef. The department is mainly responsible for the nutritional diagnosis and treatment of inpatients and outpatients. It is equipped with professional instruments and equipment such as body composition analyzers to accurately measure various nutritional indicators such as human body composition. It actively carries out nutrition and health education and cooperates with the Department of Endocrinology and Obstetrics to complete health education projects of the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission and the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission. The department actively promotes the implementation of "nutrition risk screening" in clinical wards, standardizes the implementation of the nutrition "screening-assessment-diagnosis-treatment" process, evaluates the nutritional status of patients with nutritional risks in the ward, and formulates individualized nutrition diagnosis and treatment plans; actively participates in the nutritional management of the entire accelerated recovery surgery of the Department of Urology, and provides parenteral nutrition treatment for critically ill patients.
