Rehabilitation Physiotherapy

The Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Department of the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University, formerly known as the Physiotherapy Department, currently has 14 medical and technical staff, including 1 chief physician, 1 deputy chief physician, 9 rehabilitation therapists, 1 doctor with a doctorate degree, and 2 doctors with master's degrees. The department is currently equipped with an upper and lower limb linkage device, a weight loss gait training device, a suspension training system, ultrasound therapy, a pelvic floor muscle biofeedback therapy device, and a bedside lower limb passive training system. Carry out early physical therapy for arthritis, lumbar muscle strain, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, otitis media, hemiplegia, paraplegia, peripheral nerve injury, joint replacement surgery, and lumbar disc herniation. In recent years, the department has relied on urology, a national key discipline, to continuously explore and improve with pelvic floor diseases as its professional features. Rehabilitation physiotherapy covers orthopedics, neurology, critical care, tumors, geriatrics, pelvic floor, cardiopulmonary and other clinical disciplines. In 2020, the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine passed the review of Tianjin’s designated institution for work-related injury rehabilitation.
