Hand and Foot Microsurgery

The Hand and Foot Microsurgery Department of the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University was established in October 2021. It is a professional department whose main features are the treatment of various diseases and trauma in the hand and foot using microsurgical technology. There are currently 18 open beds and more than 20 medical staff, including 1 chief physician, 2 deputy chief physicians, and 3 attending physicians. Currently, the department has domestically advanced medical equipment and integrates medical care, teaching, and scientific research. It is one of the few emerging departments in Tianjin that independently offers the subspecialty of hand and foot surgery. Department director Miao Ping and his key team members have successfully completed the first complete separation and replantation of all ten fingers on both hands in Tianjin, and achieved complete survival. It was reported by mainstream media such as Tianjin TV Station, Tianjin Daily, and Daily News.
