Urology Department

The Department of Urology, the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University, with an establishment of 220 beds, is a national key discipline of the Ministry of Education, a national key clinical specialty construction discipline of the Ministry of Health (Health Commission), a discipline of Tianjin University Comprehensive Investment Advantage Enhancement Plan, Tianjin Key Laboratory of Basic Medicine of Urology, a key clinical specialty of Tianjin Health Commission, and Chinese Medicine It is a continuing education base of the Urology Branch and an authorized training base of the International Urology Branch. It is an important national base for cultivating high-level urology clinical and basic research talents. It is the largest urology clinical specialty in North China and the Tianjin Urology Clinical Medical Research Center. It features diagnosis and treatment technology for urinary system tumors and difficult diseases.

The clinic consists of 5 wards and currently has 98 medical staff, including 23 chief physicians, 18 deputy chief physicians, 19 doctoral supervisors, 21 master's supervisors, 34 doctors with doctoral degrees, and 13 doctors with master's degrees.

It has eight sub-specialties including prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, urinary tract stones, prostatic hyperplasia, localized tumor treatment, andrology and urethral surgery, female urology and pelvic floor. It also has the "Tianjin Urolithiasis Treatment Center", "Tianjin Female Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Diagnosis and Treatment Center", and "Blood Purification Center".
