Blood Purification Center

The Blood Purification Center of the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University has 50 beds. It is an affiliated unit of the Blood Purification Quality Control Center of the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission and the chairman unit of the Nephrology Branch of the Tianjin Medical Association. Formerly known as the Blood Purification Center of the Tianjin Institute of Urology, it was the first unit in the country to carry out hemodialysis. There are currently 72 medical staff, including 1 chief physician, 6 deputy chief physicians, 1 doctoral supervisor, 7 doctors with doctoral degrees, and 9 doctors with master's degrees. It is equipped with 120 hemodialysis machines, 8 CRRT machines, 500 maintenance dialysis patients, and 200 peritoneal dialysis patients. Able to carry out various blood purification technologies and the establishment of complex vascular pathways. It has become the most influential hemodialysis center integrating clinical practice and scientific research in North China.
