The Department of Infectious Diseases and Immunology of the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University is divided into two departments: the Department of Infectious Diseases and the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology: 1. The Department of Infectious Diseases has 30 beds and is a national clinical trial pharmacology base. The existing Institute of Infectious Diseases serves as a clinical research base and participates in clinical research on various antibacterial drugs. The department has 31 medical staff, including 1 chief physician, 6 deputy chief physicians, 1 master's degree supervisor, 3 doctors with doctoral degrees, and 8 doctors with master's degrees. Since the 1990s, we have begun to carry out diagnosis and treatment of various infectious diseases, unexplained fevers, and autoimmune diseases. Have systematic clinical diagnosis and treatment thinking in diagnosing and treating patients with unexplained fever. Since the establishment of the department, it has focused more on the diagnosis and treatment of unexplained fever and infectious diseases, and guided the rational application of antibacterial drugs throughout the hospital. 2. The Department of Rheumatology and Immunology has 12 beds and currently has 7 doctors, including 2 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians, 2 doctors with doctoral degrees, 5 doctors with master's degrees, and 2 people work in academic groups at or above the municipal level.He has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of various connective tissue diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthropathy, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren's syndrome, dermatomyositis/polymyositis and vasculitis, as well as unexplained febrile diseases, infections in patients with impaired immune function and other difficult medical diseases. Common diseases currently diagnosed and treated by the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology include: rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, mixed connective tissue disease, Sjogren's syndrome, Behçet's disease, Takayasu arteritis, small vessel vasculitis, dermatomyositis, adult Still's disease, connective tissue disease-related pulmonary hypertension, IgG4-related diseases, polymyalgia rheumatica, gout, osteoporosis, fever pending investigation, autoimmune liver disease, etc.
