The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychology of Tianjin Children's Hospital was established in 1988. Currently, the department mainly consists of two parts: Children's Mental Health Clinic and Autism Rehabilitation Training Center.

The outpatient clinic has a children's mental health clinic, a children's psychological assessment room, a brain function biofeedback treatment room, a hearing integration treatment room, and a meridian leveling treatment room.

The Autism Rehabilitation and Training Center provides educational behavioral intervention training for autistic children.

The Psychology Department has accumulated a large number of cases and rich experience in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of various children's psychological, behavioral and emotional problems. It is currently the Tianjin Autism Spectrum Disorders designated diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation center and the Tianjin Autistic Children's Rehabilitation Technology Resource Center.

The department has a medical team with excellent medical quality, solid professional capabilities, and a united and progressive medical team.

The department currently has 31 employees, 4 of whom have master's degrees;

Specifically, there are 8 doctors (including 1 chief physician and 2 deputy chief physicians), 3 nursing staff, 10 rehabilitation therapists, and 10 auxiliary treatment personnel.

Specialized technical advantages and features: 1. Child psychological development assessment room provides comprehensive and professional children's psychological assessment, including intelligence test, child development level test, child personality test, temperament test, emotional problem assessment, attention level test, ADHD diagnostic assessment, learning disability assessment, tic disorder diagnosis and treatment assessment, autism spectrum disorder diagnostic assessment and therapeutic effect assessment, etc.

2. Children's Autism Education and Behavioral Intervention Center is an earlier autism intervention center in China and now has 10 professional autism rehabilitation trainers, providing personalized one-to-one guided treatment for children with parents.

The theoretical system includes social communication skills (ImPACT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), special learning style (LSP), early Denver model, etc.

It aims to improve the development of children's language expression ability, cognitive ability, living ability, social interaction ability and other abilities.

3. Other auxiliary treatments: For attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, tic disorder, and autism spectrum disorder, in addition to drug treatment, there are also non-drug treatments such as brain function biofeedback therapy, meridian mapping therapy, and auditory integration therapy.

At present, the department has a total area of ​​1,700 square meters, and its service scope covers Tianjin, Hebei and surrounding areas. The department has an annual outpatient volume of more than 30,000 patients.
