A large number of clinical cases have allowed us to accumulate sufficient response experience. After ten years of experience, the early identification of severe hand, foot and mouth disease and the treatment of severe and critical cases have become increasingly mature.
During the non-high-incidence season of hand, foot and mouth disease, our department mainly treats infections caused by bacteria, viruses, atypical pathogens, fungi and parasites in the respiratory system, digestive system and central nervous system, as well as diseases with unidentified causes of fever.
In special periods, we treat children with concentrated infectious diseases and have the ability to undertake major public emergencies. For example, our Department of Infectious Diseases has been responsible for the new coronavirus fever clinic since January 2020.
Not only that, our department has repeatedly selected key doctors to support the COVID-19 prevention and control work in Shanghai, Tianjin Haihe Hospital and other places, as well as the pediatric assistance work in Gannan, Xiongan New Area and other places.
As a pediatric teaching base, our department has a well-established teacher echelon, regularly organizes teaching rounds, case discussions and literature interpretation meetings, completes the teaching tasks of the base college and training doctors on time every year, and contributes to the cultivation of pediatric talents.
In terms of scientific research, our department has participated in many applications for national, municipal, and bureau-level projects, and has published more than 30 papers in SCI, core journals, and professional journals in the past five years.
