Hematology Department
Tianjin Children's Hospital
The Department of Hematology of Tianjin Children's Hospital was founded in the early 1980s. After 40 years of hard work of several generations, the department has developed from a few inpatient beds when it was first established into a comprehensive department with strong specialist characteristics integrating medicine, teaching and research.
The department currently has three wards, more than 80 beds and 5 sterile laminar flow rooms.
It has nearly 80 well-known domestic experts, medical staff and technical personnel.
Among them, there are 3 chief physicians, 4 deputy chief physicians, 26 attending physicians and resident physicians, and more than 50 nurses.
The current staff echelon of the department is reasonable, with a combination of old, middle-aged and young people, and has strong development potential.
The Department of Hematology has devoted itself to research on the diagnosis and treatment of children's hematological diseases, and has accumulated rich clinical diagnosis, treatment and nursing experience. It has accumulated rich clinical experience in the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of children's hematological tumor diseases, the treatment of critically ill children's hematological diseases, the diagnosis and treatment of hematological diseases in young and low-weight children, and the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases in children's hematological system.
At the same time, through multidisciplinary cooperation, we fully leveraged the advantages of a comprehensive children's hospital and achieved good clinical results.
The Department of Hematology has patient groups from all over the country and is a distinctive discipline that closely integrates clinical medicine and basic research.

In the process of clinical diagnosis and treatment of hematological malignancies, we adopt a clinical multidisciplinary joint diagnosis and treatment model that works closely with other departments of the hospital, use modern MICM accurate classification methods to clinically diagnose patients, and classify each patient into risk groups according to their specific conditions and provide stratified treatment with different chemotherapy intensities, so as to truly achieve individualized treatment.
Minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring, mature and standardized multi-drug combination chemotherapy and precise targeted therapy, active and effective hematology specialist critical care treatment and symptomatic supportive care not only greatly improve the remission rate, but also minimize the toxic side effects during chemotherapy and reduce the mortality rate.
Along with effective treatment, a strict follow-up system has been established, and the level of diagnosis and treatment has been continuously improved.
The department also actively adopts psychological and social medical intervention models, so that children can not only cure physical diseases, but also obtain mental and psychological rehabilitation, which has significantly improved the quality of life of recovered children.
The department is at the leading level in the country in terms of specialist diagnosis and treatment.
