The Department of Nephrology of Tianjin Children's Hospital was established in 1959. It has been growing over time and has become a key discipline of the hospital. After several generations of hard work, it has now developed into a comprehensive discipline integrating medical care, teaching and scientific research.

It is able to carry out multiple specialized diagnosis and treatment technologies, has strong medical services and medical technology radiation capabilities, and its overall technical level is among the advanced ranks in the country.

Currently, there are two wards on the 5th and 6th floors of Building C in Longyan Hospital, with an average annual admission of more than 4,000 cases of nephrology inpatients;

There are more than 1,000 cases of difficult and critical illness, and senior experts visit the clinic every day. The average annual number of specialist outpatient visits is about 10,000.

The undergraduate department has a medical team with high professional quality, strong professional capabilities, and strong technical force.

The medical team currently has 31 specialists, 8 with senior professional titles, 5 with intermediate professional titles, and 18 with junior professional titles, including 24 postgraduates.

The nursing team currently has 36 nurses, 8 supervisory nurses, 18 nurse practitioners, and 12 nurses, including 1 master's degree student and 30 undergraduates, all of whom have rich experience in the diagnosis, treatment and care of kidney diseases.

The department has rich experience in diagnosis and treatment of various primary, secondary and hereditary glomerular diseases, tubular diseases, interstitial diseases, urinary tract infections, hypertension, renovascular diseases, etc. in children, especially in the treatment of difficult and critical illnesses such as hereditary glomerular diseases, hereditary tubular diseases, acute/chronic renal failure, hemolytic uremic syndrome, hypertensive encephalopathy, etc., and is at the leading level in the country;

Proficient in children's percutaneous renal puncture technology, he can perform renal puncture biopsies in children of all age groups, providing strong support for the diagnosis and treatment of difficult and critical kidney diseases.

For children with refractory nephropathy, IgA nephropathy, purpura nephritis, focal segmental glomerulonephritis, etc., individualized, multi-target treatments can be formulated based on clinical, pathological and genetic sequencing;

He is skilled in pediatric peritoneal dialysis technology and has accumulated rich and successful clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic renal failure of various causes.
