Pediatric Hematology Center

The Children's Hematology Diagnosis and Treatment Center of the Hematology Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was established in 1996. It is a research-based medical center focusing on childhood leukemia and childhood bone marrow hematopoietic failure.

At the same time, the diagnosis and treatment of rare and difficult children's hematological diseases and the treatment of critically ill children's hematological diseases are also unique, such as congenital bone marrow failure, myelodysplastic syndrome, children's myeloproliferative tumors (children's chronic myelogenous leukemia, juvenile chronic myelomonocytic leukemia) and other diagnosis and treatment levels. It has comprehensively carried out the etiological diagnosis and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation treatment of rare and rare children's hematological diseases.

The center has 4 wards with 140 open beds, including 14 laminar flow beds for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

The center currently has 25 doctors, including 4 chief physicians and 7 deputy chief physicians;

There are 3 basic researchers, 2 associate researchers, and 1 supervisor technician.

The educational composition of the medical research team is as follows: 52% are PhDs, 39% are masters, and 9% are bachelors.

There are 70 nursing staff, including 1 chief nurse and 26 supervisory nurses, 95% of whom have a bachelor's degree or above.

The center has successively won the National Youth Civilization Award, the National Women’s Civilization Post, the Tianjin Workers’ Pioneer Award, the first batch of Tianjin Integrity Departments, and the Advanced Collective of Spiritual Civilization in the College System.

Second prize of National Natural Science Award, first prize of Tianjin Natural Science Award, third prize of Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award, Wuzhou Women’s Science and Technology Award, Soong Ching Ling Pediatric Medicine Award and other honors.
