Concept technology frontier
EARS
Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS): refers to a series of optimization measures for perioperative treatment using evidence-based medical evidence to reduce the physical and psychological traumatic stress of surgical patients and achieve rapid recovery.
Professor Song Tianqiang, director of the department, applied the concept of rapid postoperative recovery to the clinical practice of surgery in our hospital and achieved good results. In 2006, he received a scientific research fund project supported by the Tianjin Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission.
It has now become a routine diagnosis and treatment measure in the department, shortening hospitalization time, reducing postoperative complications, and reducing patients' financial burden.
MDT
Multidisciplinary collaborative treatment model (multiple disciplinary team, MDT): refers to a clinical multidisciplinary team, that is, a clinical discussion meeting held by multidisciplinary experts around a certain case, and a treatment plan is formulated for the patient based on the comprehensive opinions of various disciplines.
Because of its distinctive patient-centered and individualized treatment characteristics.
MDT has become an important mode of disease treatment in large foreign hospitals and tumor treatment centers.
In October 2011, Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital established a domestic joint outpatient clinic focusing on the treatment of difficult hepatobiliary tumors (hepatobiliary tumor multidisciplinary comprehensive diagnosis and treatment joint outpatient clinic), and has many joint disciplines (hepatobiliary tumor surgery, digestive oncology, internal medicine, Department of Interventional Therapy, Department of Radiation Therapy, Department of Biotherapy, Department of Ultrasound Diagnosis and Treatment, Department of Radiology, Department of Pathology), each year treats about 200 difficult cases of hepatobiliary tumors from all over the country, which has improved the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment level and efficacy of difficult cases of hepatobiliary tumors in our hospital.
Radiofrequency ablation treatment of liver tumors based on liver surgery technology support
Radiofrequency ablation is an emerging technology in recent years. For some small liver tumors, it can achieve effects close to surgical treatment. This technology is mostly mastered by doctors in the ultrasound department and oncology department. The indications for surgery are not well understood, which blindly expands the indications for radiofrequency ablation treatment.
Based on the support of liver surgery technology, our department strictly distinguishes the indications of surgery and radiofrequency ablation, and chooses surgery or radiofrequency ablation based on the patient's individual condition in order to achieve the best results.
Radical resection of gallbladder cancer based on TNM staging and T staging of gallbladder cancer
Gallbladder cancer is discovered late and has a poor prognosis. It is often discovered accidentally during diagnosis and treatment in general hospitals or during surgery. General hospitals have certain deviations in the radical treatment of gallbladder cancer.
Our department implements different surgical treatment plans based on the TNM stage and T stage of gallbladder cancer.
Simple cholecystectomy is performed for T1a gallbladder cancer.
For T1b gallbladder cancer, combined resection of liver segments IVb and V and hepatoduodenal ligament lymph node dissection are required.
