The corresponding author and first author of the whole department have published more than 200 Chinese and English papers, including more than 80 SCI articles, including 4 articles with an impact factor of 10 or above such as "leulemia".
He has participated in the compilation of many Chinese and English monographs such as "Hematologic cancers: from molecular pathobiology to targeted therapeutics", "Modern Hematology", "Hematology - Continuing Medical Textbook of the Chinese Medical Association", "Leukemia", "Leukocyte Diseases - Basics and Clinics", "Rational Use of Drugs in Hematology (Second Edition)", "Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies of Hematology", "Hematology Volume of Difficult Cases of Internal Medicine".
The Department of Hematology is at the leading level in the country in the diagnosis and treatment of hematological tumors, translational medical research, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation technology. The diagnosis and treatment model is in line with international standards, and it fully adopts cell morphology/cytochemistry, multi-parameter flow cytometry, karyotype analysis, molecular genetics, molecular biology and other technologies. Surgery is combined with clinical diagnosis, classification, prognosis assessment and condition monitoring, and an individualized treatment plan is customized for the patient. It uses combined chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, molecular targeted therapy, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and other methods to treat tumors, significantly extending the patient's survival time and improving the patient's quality of life.
Ward construction: The hematology ward is divided into 3 wards with a total of 56 beds, including 6 100-level laminar flow wards (transplant cabins), and the branch hospital has more than 20 beds.
At present, focusing on hematological malignant diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndrome, we have established and improved a stratified treatment system for various hematological tumors, and carried out hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for benign and malignant hematological diseases.
More than 300 transplants have been completed so far. The autologous stem cell transplantation work led by Academician Hao Xishan won the first prize of the Chinese Medical Award.
At the same time, in cooperation with the Department of Children's Oncology, more than 70 cases of stem cell transplantation treatment of children's solid tumors were successfully carried out and achieved good results.
Since its founding, the company has led or participated in more than 20 international and domestic multi-center clinical studies.
The Hematology Department of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital opened the "Multiple Myeloma Joint Clinic" in 2013.
Led by the Department of Hematology, it is jointly consulted with senior experts from the Department of Osteosoft Oncology, Pathology, Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Radiation Therapy, and Radiology, taking advantage of the complementary advantages of multiple disciplines to make a comprehensive and accurate diagnosis for the patient and formulate an individualized treatment plan.
Since the opening of the multiple myeloma joint clinic, good clinical results have been achieved.
Carry out long-term exchanges and cooperation with many well-known foreign cancer centers.
Many doctors have gone to the above-mentioned units for further clinical studies or postdoctoral training, and have achieved fruitful results. At the same time, a remote consultation system has been established with them to bring the clinical and scientific research of the hematology department into line with the world.
A number of international cooperations have been carried out in clinical trials of new anti-cancer drugs, exchange of experiences on difficult cases, and training of technical personnel.
The department holds a hematological tumor forum that radiates surrounding provinces and cities every two to three months, and has been held for more than 20 times so far.
The National Summit Forum is held every year, a total of 4 times, and the International Hematology Summit Forum is 1. It has carried out multi-disciplinary exchanges and inter-academic discussions on hematological tumor-related diseases many times, and invited 10 foreign experts including Chairman of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Hao Xishan, Academician Ruan Changgeng of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Academician Wu Zuze of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to attend the meeting.
Through a combination of theoretical lectures and discussions, we will teach the international diagnosis and treatment standards in the field of hematological tumors as well as new theories, new knowledge, new technologies, and new methods in recent years to young doctors working in front-line clinical and scientific research positions, so that our professional and technical personnel can continuously improve their professional level and service quality to adapt to the development of medical science, technology, and health undertakings.
We have held many regional academic activities covering the surrounding areas and regular patient exchange meetings to answer patients' questions about their personal difficulties.
Actively cultivate amphibious talents with both clinical and scientific research capabilities, and provide strong support in terms of direction, personnel, and funding based on their strengths and interests.
Eight doctors have been selected and sent to authoritative foreign institutions for postdoctoral research or clinical training.
To date, the department has trained more than 50 graduate students and graduated more than 30 graduate students, 5 of whom have won national scholarships.
Taught more than 10 advanced students.
Professional advantage technology
The Department of Hematology focuses on blood tumors and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and has a high academic status and influence in the country.
Lymphoma direction: It is an important lymphoma diagnosis and treatment center in China. For refractory and relapsed B lymphocyte malignant lymphoma, the established prognostic stratification and individualized treatment system has been promoted in many secondary and tertiary hospitals across the country, significantly improving the clinical remission rate of patients.
This part of the work won the second prize of the 2016 Chinese Anti-Cancer Association Science and Technology Progress Award.
Multiple myeloma direction: Every year, more than 100 multiple myeloma patients are treated, mainly from Northeast China, North China, Inner Mongolia and other regions. The patients are managed throughout the entire process including maintenance treatment, reaching the leading level in the country.
In 2013, the "Multiple Myeloma Joint Clinic" was opened.
Led by the Department of Hematology, it combines simultaneous consultations with senior experts from the Department of Osteosoft Oncology, Department of Pathology, Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Department of Radiotherapy, and Department of Radiology to leverage the complementary advantages of multiple disciplines to make a comprehensive and accurate diagnosis of the patient, formulate an individualized treatment plan, and achieve good clinical results.
We also conducted a multi-center, prospective clinical trial on whole-body low-dose CT detection of multiple myeloma at different diagnosis and treatment points. This trial was funded by Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital.
His clinical experience in the treatment of extramedullary multiple myeloma has been published in several SCI articles, and he won the second prize of the 2016 Chinese Anti-Cancer Association Science and Technology Progress Award at the same time as his diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma.
Direction of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: The autologous stem cell transplantation work led by Academician Hao Xishan won the first prize of the Chinese Medical Award.
To date, more than 500 cases of various types of hematopoietic stem cell transplants have been completed, and the number of various types of transplants is steadily increasing every year.
In cooperation with the Department of Children's Oncology, we are the first in China to carry out hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for children's tumors such as neuroblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, etc., which has significantly improved the prognosis of patients, and leads the country in the number of transplants.
The results of an improved pretreatment regimen for double-hit lymphoma and other internationally recognized lymphomas with extremely poor prognosis were published in the "Chinese Journal of Hematology". Relevant clinical data are still accumulating, and it is expected to find an effective treatment approach to improve the survival of patients with this type of lymphoma.
Clinical trials: As PI, he has led or participated in more than 20 international and domestic multi-center clinical studies.
Clinical trials he presided over: Randomized, open-label, positive-drug parallel-controlled, multi-center clinical trial of recombinant human erythropoietin (CHO cells) for injection in the treatment of anemia caused by chemotherapy of non-bone marrow malignancies (clinical trial number: BOJI201716Q), and led two other clinical trials initiated by researchers.
