Thyroid, Breast and Hernia Surgery Department

The Thyroid and Breast Hernia Surgery Department of Tianjin Medical University General Hospital is headed by Zhang Bai as the ward director, and Professor He Xianghui is the academic leader. There are more than 20 medical staff, 8 of whom have senior technical titles. They mainly treat diseases related to thyroid, breast and abdominal wall surgery.

Our city has taken the lead in carrying out fine-needle aspiration biopsy of thyroid nodules, intraoperative neuromonitoring in thyroid surgery, nanocarbon parathyroid imaging technology, biological patch hernia repair and laparoscopic hernia repair and other technologies.

Undertaken national-level continuing medical education projects, held several "Bohai Thyroid Surgery Forum", multiple training courses on fine needle aspiration and standardized treatment of thyroid nodules, and laparoscopic hernia repair courses.

From March 29 to 31, 2019, it hosted the "Second China Clinical Practical Technology Forum of China Healthcare International Exchange Promotion Association, the Eighth Northern Hernia Forum, the Fifth Bohai Thyroid Forum, the 2019 Bohai Digestive Surgery Forum, and the Second Thyroid Youth Voice Speech Contest Finals".
