Hohhot Second Hospital is the designated hospital for tuberculosis in Hohhot. The tuberculosis department has been established as an independent department since July 18, 2021. The current bed utilization rate reaches 85%, the average length of stay is 18.6 days, the monthly income is more than 550,000 yuan, and the cure and improvement rate is 95%. It has strong technical force and first-class diagnosis and treatment level. The department carries out standardized diagnosis and treatment of initial diagnosis, re-treatment and drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis. It also has high diagnosis and treatment capabilities for extrapulmonary tuberculosis. The clinical cure and improvement rate of various intrapulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis reaches over 95%. The bronchoscopy room, which was established in 2017, is now very mature. Recently, it has cooperated with the Department of Thoracic Surgery to develop medical thoracoscopy technology, which has greatly improved the diagnosis and identification capabilities of tuberculosis and tuberculous pleurisy.
