Infectious Diseases

The Department of Infectious Diseases of Hohhot Second Hospital was established in 2003. Its main business scope is the clinical diagnosis, treatment, disease prevention and treatment of AIDS and related diseases. The undergraduate clinic also undertakes AIDS care, free antiviral treatment, free screening, health education, prevention and control, mother-to-child transmission of AIDS and prevention before and after HIV exposure in Hohhot and surrounding areas. After nearly two decades of development, the department has accumulated rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of common, frequently occurring, difficult and severe diseases in the field of AIDS. The department integrates medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research, and undertakes important tasks such as AIDS training, health education, scientific research and teaching in Hohhot and even the entire region. It is a key AIDS discipline in Hohhot. The Department of Infectious Diseases has formed a professional team with a reasonable staff structure and strong cohesion, and has joined hands with volunteers to establish the "Sunflower Home" to provide patients with more humane, high-quality and convenient medical and caring services.
