Anesthesiology

The Anesthesiology Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital was established in 1994. It is a first-level clinical department in our hospital that integrates clinical, scientific research and teaching. It is responsible for clinical anesthesia in all departments of the hospital, first aid and resuscitation of critically ill patients, critical illness monitoring and treatment, acute and chronic pain (such as postoperative analgesia, painless abortion, painless gastrointestinal endoscopy, cancer analgesia, painless bronchoscopy) and other perioperative clinical work. The anesthesiology department currently has 28 professional medical staff, including 2 chief physicians, 7 attending physicians, 2 anesthesia nurses, and 17 operating room nurses. Every year, 2-3 medical staff are selected to go to well-known tertiary hospitals across the country for further studies. 1. Professional characteristics and scope of diagnosis and treatment: A complete range of clinical anesthesia techniques are developed, and the department can skillfully carry out general anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia and various nerve block anesthesia techniques, and is proficient in arterial puncture, deep vein catheterization, double-lumen bronchial intubation, and nasotracheal intubation. Surgery, ultrasound-guided nerve block technology and postoperative analgesia methods, etc., are capable of clinical anesthesia in various surgical specialties, have accumulated rich experience in anesthesia for various critically ill patients, elderly patients, pediatric patients, etc., and have a high success rate of anesthesia and rescue for various critically ill patients. The department handles approximately 6,000 cases of surgical anesthesia and more than 1,400 cases of painless diagnosis and treatment every year.In recent years, the Department of Anesthesiology has continued to learn and master new technologies, and has actively carried out the application of various new anesthesia technologies, such as anesthesia depth monitoring, ultrasound-guided nerve block, ultrasound-guided pain treatment technology, difficult airway intubation under video laryngoscope, controlled hypotension, etc., which has greatly improved the overall clinical anesthesia level of the department. The anesthesiology department opens an anesthesia pain clinic to reduce pain for patients with acute and chronic pain and improve the quality of life of patients with cancer pain. 2. Department Equipment The operating rooms have novel designs and reasonable layouts. All 12 operating rooms are laminar flow purification operating rooms and are equipped with high-standard post-anesthesia recovery rooms (PACU). The department is equipped with advanced instruments and equipment such as imported shadowless lamps, electric operating beds, multi-functional anesthesia machines, multi-functional monitors, ultrasonic scalpels, high-frequency electrosurgical scalpels, laparoscopes, hysteroscopes, resectoscopes, transforaminal scopes, microscopes, ECG defibrillators, anesthesia depth detectors, video laryngoscopes, video soft mirrors, visual hard mirrors, and anesthesia ultrasound.
