Gastrointestinal surgery is characterized by specialized treatment of gastrointestinal, anorectal and abdominal external hernia diseases, with minimally invasive surgery as its main advantage.
Commonly performed surgeries include:
1. Laparoscopic (minimally invasive) radical resection of gastric cancer and colorectal cancer, and ultra-low anus-preserving surgery;
2. Laparoscopic and small incision various types of abdominal wall hernia repair;
3. Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (bariatric and metabolic surgery), fundoplication (anti-esophageal reflux surgery);
4. Laparoscopic appendectomy, gastric perforation repair, intestinal obstruction adhesiolysis, laparoscopic exploration, etc.;
5. Minimally invasive surgery for perianal and anorectal diseases.
The main advantages of the department are accurate surgical results and fast recovery. Patients with malignant tumors are hospitalized for an average of 7 days after surgery, and patients with benign diseases are hospitalized for an average of 3 days after surgery.
Natural orifice specimen extraction (NOSES) is a new technology developed in our department. It was the first to carry out NOSES technology in our area with good results. It truly realizes radical gastric and colorectal tumor resection without abdominal wall incision, treats the disease for patients while preserving the integrity of the abdominal wall to the maximum extent, and makes the surgery the most minimally invasive.
The Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery has established extensive and close cooperative relationships with the Cancer Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, PLA General Hospital 301, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Peking University First Hospital, Beijing China-Japan Friendship Hospital, and Shanghai Xinhua Hospital.
