Hohhot First Hospital

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of the First Hospital of Hohhot is a key discipline in Hohhot. It is a cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment specialty integrating clinical, teaching, scientific research and health care. It has three wards, one cardiac function room, one supporting cardiac catheterization laboratory, 127 beds (including 13 CCU beds and 6 emergency beds), and 93 medical staff. Among them, there are 40 doctors (4 with doctoral degrees, 20 with master's degrees), 53 nurses (1 with master's degree, 42 with bachelor's degrees), 15 chief physicians, and 14 deputy chief physicians. The annual outpatient volume is more than 22,000 people, the annual inpatient visits are more than 4,000, the bed utilization rate is more than 95%, and the average hospitalization day is ≤10 days.

The main equipment of the department includes a complete set of ECG monitoring systems, central arterial pressure detectors, radiofrequency ablation meters, multi-conductivity physiologists, arteriosclerosis detectors, endothelial function detectors, extracorporeal aortic balloon counterpulsors, blood gas analyzers, dynamic ECG detectors, and dynamic blood pressure detectors.

The diagnosis and treatment technology projects carried out include: standardized drug diagnosis and treatment of common cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, hypertension, valvular heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, infective endocarditis, viral myocarditis, pericardial disease, hyperlipidemia and other common cardiovascular diseases.

Focus on cardiac interventional diagnosis and treatment projects, including coronary angiography and coronary stent surgery (including emergency coronary intervention), intracardiac electrophysiological examination and radiofrequency ablation for supraventricular tachycardia, atrial tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, ventricular premature, ventricular tachycardia, temporary or permanent pacemaker implantation, congenital heart disease occlusion, mitral valve balloon dilatation, left Atrial appendage occlusion, atrial fibrillation radiofrequency ablation + left atrial appendage occlusion one-stop surgery, intracardiac ultrasonography, coronary blood flow reserve fractional detection, aortic balloon counterpulsation, CRT-P/CRT-D for heart failure patients, ICD treatment and interventional treatment of structural heart disease, etc., many of which are currently at the leading level in the country.

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine will rely on the Heart Center to improve the construction of the Chest Pain Center, Atrial Fibrillation Center, Heart Failure Center and Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, so that clinical, teaching, and scientific research can develop collaboratively. Adhering to the philosophy of being pragmatic and service-oriented, the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine will continue to forge ahead, strive to provide patients with better medical and health services, and strive to build the department into a regional cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment center based in the capital, serving the entire region, and highlighting its characteristics.

Cardiovascular medicine leader:

Hou Yu, chief physician, MD, and dean, graduated from Fuwai Cardiovascular Hospital of Peking Union Medical College. He studied under famous domestic cardiovascular experts such as Professor Fang Pihua and Ma Jian. He is proficient in cardiovascular interventional diagnosis and treatment surgeries. He has independently completed nearly 3,000 cases of various cardiovascular interventional surgeries (including coronary stent implantation, radiofrequency ablation, pacemaker implantation, congenital heart disease interventional closure, etc.). The difficulty and number of surgeries are at the advanced level in the autonomous region. He has participated in the editing of 5 books.

Published more than 20 papers in core journals and SCI source papers, including 3 SCI papers published as the first author.

In 2012, he was awarded the honorary title of "Supporting the West" by the Beijing Municipal Education Bureau, and the title of "Promising Youth" of the autonomous region in 2014. He is also the executive director of the Inner Mongolia Medical Association, the deputy director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing Branch of the Inner Mongolia Medical Association, the standing member of the Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Rehabilitation Professional Committee of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, the national member of the Youth Committee of the Heart Failure Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a member of the CPPCC Saihan District of Hohhot City, and a standing member of the Hohhot Youth Federation.

Gao Jiangfeng, chief physician, master of medicine, specializes in cardiac electrophysiology, pacing, coronary artery, and structural heart disease. He is good at electrophysiological examination and radiofrequency ablation treatment of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, ventricular premature, and ventricular tachycardia. , radiofrequency ablation of pre-excitation syndrome, supraventricular tachycardia, etc., implantation and management of various types of generators for bradyarrhythmia, interventional examination and treatment of coronary heart disease, interventional treatment of structural heart disease, interventional closure of congenital heart disease, left atrial appendage closure, etc.

He independently carried out radiofrequency ablation of complex arrhythmia and radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region earlier. The quantity and quality of operations are among the best in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. He is the chief expert of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. He has published more than 10 first-author papers and 1 SCI article. He has participated in the editing of 2 books and 1 personal patent.

He concurrently serves as a member of the Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the First Young and Middle-aged Electrophysiology Working Committee of the Heart Rhythm Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a member of the Heart Rhythm and Electrocardiology Professional Committee of the Taiwan Medical Association of the Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association, a standing committee member of the first committee of the Cardiovascular Intervention Professional Committee of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Medical Doctors Association, and the vice president of the Cardiovascular Physicians Branch of the Hohhot Medical Doctors Association.
