Gastroenterology

The Gastroenterology Department of Hohhot First Hospital was established in October 2010. It now has a gastroenterology clinic, a gastroenterology ward, a digestive endoscopy diagnosis and treatment center, and a breath test laboratory.

The Department of Gastroenterology has a relatively complete talent gradient and technical strength. It currently has 14 clinicians and 19 nursing staff, including 2 chief physicians, 6 deputy chief physicians, 3 attending physicians, 3 residents, and 11 medical master's students.

The medical staff of the department have studied at Beijing Third Hospital, Friendship Hospital of Beijing Capital Medical University, Peking University First Hospital, China People's Liberation Army General Hospital and Peking Union Medical College Hospital for many times, and have maintained close collaborative relationships.

The Department of Gastroenterology is responsible for the clinical, teaching and scientific research of digestive system diseases in the city. It has 46 formal beds and 2 emergency care units with 5 beds.

Medical features

The Department of Gastroenterology mainly carries out the diagnosis and medical treatment of digestive system diseases. Currently, it focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases in the Department of Gastroenterology, such as diseases of the stomach, esophagus, duodenum, diseases of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and intestinal diseases. Emergencies include the rescue and treatment of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, acute severe pancreatitis, cirrhosis-esophageal and gastric variceal bleeding, medical treatment of esophageal and gastric variceal bleeding, and hepatic encephalopathy.

The Center for Digestive Endoscopy performs: painless gastrointestinal endoscopy, emergency endoscopic hemostasis treatment for gastrointestinal bleeding (including esophageal and gastric variceal variceal scleroembolization hemostasis, ligation), achalasia and esophageal stricture balloon dilatation, esophageal stent implantation, endoscopic foreign body forceps Removal, ERCP and duodenal papilla lithotomy, biliary stricture stent placement, endoscopic ultrasonography, endoscopic mucosal resection and mucosal dissection, gastrolithotripsy and other domestically leading endoscopic treatment technologies, the treatment results are satisfactory and have been well received by the majority of patients.

Department equipment

The digestive endoscopy center is equipped with advanced Japanese Olympus GIF290 and 260 hosts, Japanese Fuji 4400 hosts, ultrasonic endoscopes, German Albo endoscopic treatment systems and carbon 14 and carbon 13 breath test detection systems. It is also equipped with high-definition pigment electronic gastroscopy, transnasal gastroscopy, electronic colonoscopy and electronic duodenoscopy.

The gastroenterology ward is equipped with: ECG machine, non-invasive and invasive ventilator, ECG monitor, air pressure therapy device, etc.
