There are 4 people in the nursing unit, including 1 with senior professional title, 1 with intermediate professional title, and 2 with junior professional title.

The department undertakes ophthalmology clinical, scientific research and teaching tasks.

Many doctors have received advanced training in famous domestic eye hospitals and have rich clinical medical experience.

There are currently 25 ophthalmology beds.

Existing equipment: non-contact tonometer, ocular A/B ultrasound, digital image acquisition system slit lamp, phacoemulsification machine, German Muller microscope, computer perimetry, and coherence optical tomography scanner.

The business scope includes: diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic diseases, cataract phacoemulsification surgery, intraocular lens implantation, glaucoma trabeculectomy surgery, strabismus surgery, oculoplastic surgery, retinal detachment reduction surgery, pterygium removal stem cell transplantation, nasal dacryocyst anastomosis, eye trauma debridement and suturing, etc.

Among them, the cataract phacoemulsification surgery was the first performed by our hospital in the Hohhot area. It insists on serving the general public with superb technology, high-quality services and low fees.

The surgical radiation range is wide and the influence is great. It has been well received by patients and has achieved good social and economic benefits.

The Department of Ophthalmology closely follows the development direction of the hospital. While innovatively developing cataract phacoemulsification surgery, the department cooperates with ophthalmologists from well-known domestic hospitals to carry out the diagnosis and treatment of intraorbital eye tumors. Experts regularly visit for surgery.

It has continuously improved and expanded into the professional direction of radiotherapy and chemotherapy for eye tumors, and arranged young doctors in batches for long-term and short-term further training, forming a team of professional talents with a reasonable technical structure and excellent skills.

At present, doctors in the department are able to master the diagnosis and treatment principles of benign and malignant ocular tumors, and learn from related departments such as medical oncology and interventional oncology to further improve their own business.

In order to further improve the academic level of the department and create an academic atmosphere, department staff actively participate in various academic conferences organized by schools and hospitals.

All medical staff of the ophthalmology department fully implement the service tenet of "three good and one satisfactory", serve patients wholeheartedly, continuously improve the level of medical services, strictly regulate medical behaviors, and use new concepts to enable the department of ophthalmology to continue to innovate and develop.
