The Allergy Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Cancer Hospital was founded in 1986, and a specialized ward was established in 2004.
After more than 20 years of unremitting efforts, it has developed from the initial simple equipment, dozens of intradermal tests to detect allergens (self-collected and prepared pollen, fungal allergens) and preliminary diagnosis and treatment technology for type I allergic diseases.
It has developed into a high-quality professional medical team with modern specific antibody in vitro detectors, 20 beds, 13 medical staff (44.44% with senior professional titles), integrating medical treatment, scientific research and teaching. It carries out more than ten testing projects such as the determination of serum total IgE, specific IgE, IgG4 content and intradermal test, prick test, provocation test, patch test and more than 300 kinds of allergens.
Remarkable clinical results have been achieved in the diagnosis and treatment of type I-IV allergic diseases such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, contact dermatitis, allergic purpura, immune nephropathy, eczema, anaphylactic shock, etc., especially the rapid desensitization treatment of hay fever and food allergy. With its advanced, scientific and short-time advantages, it has produced great repercussions in the autonomous region and related majors in the country, and has won strong social benefits.
In the past 28 years, many national and autonomous region scientific research projects have been completed.
In 1989, the "new technology for antigen preparation" won the Hohhot Railway Bureau's Technology Improvement Award.
In 1993, he completed the National Natural Science Foundation research project "National Survey of Airborne Allergenic Fungi", and the results were compiled into the "Survey of Airborne Allergenic Fungi in China".
In 2000, "Discussion and Research on the Mechanism of Stellate Ganglion Occlusion in the Treatment of Hay Fever" won the second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Hunan Railway Administration.
Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Young Intellectuals Science and Technology Innovation Award.
In 2008, he completed the scientific research project "Research on the Correlation between Rapid Desensitization Treatment of Hay Fever and Cytokines" funded by the Inner Mongolia Department of Education.
In 2012, he completed the Inner Mongolia Natural Fund Project "Survey of Airborne Allergenic Pollen in Hohhot City and Clinical Correlation Study". In 2015, he completed the National Natural Science Foundation Project "Survey of Airborne Allergenic Pollen in the Air of Four Cities in Western Inner Mongolia" and the Inner Mongolia Medical University Million Project Project "Survey of Airborne Allergenic Fungi in Hohhot City and Research on the Correlation of Allergic Diseases".
